Please let us appeal to Tinubu to swallow his pride and reinstate Emefiele. Then, publicly apologised to him. This Tinubu economic team are confused. Let us forget tribalism and pride. With this disastrous economic team, the $ will soon hit N1500. We will be complaining , and silently They are confuse and worthlessness than used sanitary pads. Just imagine if you had N1000,000 in savings on May 2o, 2023 That amount was $2170. After 5 months of Tinubu, the same N1000,000 has now lost $1300 to become worthless at $868. If we do not bring back Emefiele, that say N1000,000 will soon become N100. A word is enough for the wise! 8 Likes 1 Share |

You think that criminal Tinubu would put anyone from South East and South South in any position of real power and influence . The ugly BAT is afraid of smart and hardworking people, he only wants to be surrounded by incompetent useless fraudsters like himself. And his useless followers don't see anything wrong with that because they're are poor and envious non entities and jobless haters 11 Likes |

I don't know how to describe you. Emefiele started the path that led us to this point and this current CBN policies and removing ban on forex is what will revamp the economy and it may take some time but it will yield positive result. 5 Likes 3 Shares |

You mean he should bring back Emefiele who took dollar to naira value from N160 to N750 between 2014 to 2023? A 400% devaluation over 9years is what you are celebrating as worth continuing? Has the CBN Governor just appointed a few weeks ago had the time to do his job like Emefiele did and failed for 9years that you think is worthy of a return? Idiocy is the new cool. 7 Likes 1 Share |
Re: Naira Decline: Bring Back Emefiele; This Team Are Confused by StOla: 7:26am On Oct 20, 2023 |
Bobloco: You mean the time of 9years that it took Emefiele to single-handedly destroy the Naira from N160 in June 2014 to N750 in June 2023? And you have no words for the poster who thinks Emefiele is who we still need at the CBN? Is that not madness? |

Johncables402: Is Emefiele not Igbo and from the SouthSouth? Did he not have power and influence? Was he competent? Was he smart or hardworking? Or was he handsome? What did he achieve with the continuous Naira decline that he superintended? 1 Like 1 Share |
Re: Naira Decline: Bring Back Emefiele; This Team Are Confused by Bobloco: 7:33am On Oct 20, 2023 |
StOla: In five months, Tinubu single handedly destroy the naira further from N750-N1,150 At this rate Tinubu is about to surpassed Emefiele's 9year record in just a year Is that not a catastrophe 9 Likes |
Re: Naira Decline: Bring Back Emefiele; This Team Are Confused by StOla: 7:37am On Oct 20, 2023 |
Bobloco: And is that the reason to support a return of Emefiele whose 9years was an actual catastrophe and not a projection that can be amended or compounded? A new CBN Governor was just appointed a few weeks ago, and resumed duty just on 22nd September 2023. Don't you think it is too early to ask that he be replaced by the last head that had to be removed after 9years of factual failure? Or is the OP unaware that the government has just appointed a new CBN governor who is less than a month in office? |

StOla:why does this sound familiar? Oh I remember. That was how we castigated Jonathan, and made excuses for Buhari (myself inclusive but in 2015 only cos I'm not an unfortunate being), only to learn the hard way that weak clueless Jonathan was far far far better. So yea, sane Nigerians have learnt to read and apply the playful Yoruba axiom that says 'Saturday to ba ma da, lati Friday la ti ma mo'. The clueless and incompetent Emefoole clearly will be better than this brand new dud. No doubt about that Lol. 2 Likes |

Treadway: You mean a brand new dude who has not spent a month in office has failed and should relinquish office for Emefiele to continue the destruction he started and did not complete? Are you sure you actually want any progress? |
Re: Naira Decline: Bring Back Emefiele; This Team Are Confused by Treadway: 8:07am On Oct 20, 2023 |
StOla:for a start, i'm 💯 sure you don't know what progress is or means. No, I dont want Emefoole back, but I won't make excuses for another brand new dud. Hire a sales manager who shows no working for a month, and make excuse for him k. The idiot who got a role that sensitive and couldn't even come up with a plan, even if na gbajue to whip up market sentiment, anything at all just to create FUD in the market and let them know a new sheriff is in town. Ordinary aboki Mele kyari of the NNPCL did it and the rate dropped at least for close to a month in response due to the FUD of the Afrexim loan of 3b usd. The money wasn't even real, still isn't, but he mentally created the effect he needed to create and it worked. What does he do instead? He unleashes more players to scramble for already scarce Forex and just keeps silent. Minister of Interior is already showing some promise, and people from all sides of the divide can see that he is showing working. But feel free to excuse the failure and dullness of your brand new CBN gov. Let's give him a year, maybe even 2..i know even in two years your stance won't change..lol 2 Likes |

Devaluation of naira is not necessary a bad thing but the problem is Nigeria is not a producing country. We import everything will consume in this country, if we are a producing country like China devaluation of naira will give us advantages over other producing countries, we will earn more forex because exportation will increase. People import from China because it is much cheaper to import things from there than any place in the world, do you think it would be possible if their currency have the value close to that of US dollars? Nigeria economy will always be stagnant and hopeless if we don't evolve from a consuming country to a producing one. Federal government should declare a state of emergency on the manufacturing and producing sector in this country, it is the only thing that can revive our economy. |

PureFace1:your legislooters just performed their yearly ritual of buying and sharing 100m+ naira cars...spoiler alert, it wasn't innoson or Nord vehicles but imported brands...talk about leadership by example 🤣 Also we were not a producing country when Good luck or Yaradua or Obasanjo was president...hmmmm. what did they do right?🧐 |

I still wonder how some people reason in this country, how can any sane individual demand that Emefiele should be brought back to head the institution he once destroyed with his useless policies?? That dude made Naira to be where it is today and he deserved to be punished for this. |

Treadway: During those period there was still massive poverty in Nigeria, infrastructures were almost non existent and the existing one were all in decrepit state. Nigerians were still very poor during the tenure of Obasanjo and Yaradua with bad infrastructures or no infrastructures at all and among the poorest nations, you just have the delusion that Nigeria was better because you bought things cheaper lol. Every thing Nigeria is suffering from didn't start today. 1 Like |

Bobloco: The value of the Naira doesn't matter, Nigeria will always be a poor country until our export surpass what will import. You guys are channeling your attention on the wrong thing. Nigerians were still very poor under Obasanjo and Yaradua when naira still have some value and fuel was very cheap. All infrastructures were in comatose state or no infrastructures at all, many Nigerian youths were also jobless and difficult to get jobs and there was also not much different in the standard of living. We just bought things cheaper during those times, the standard of living of Nigerians didn't increase. This country will always be a poor country until our export surpass what will import it is the only thing that can create jobs and increase the standard of living. |

Validated: Tribalism and propaganda killed Tinubu's government from the onset. Only few people I've noticed actually understood Emefiele's achievements. The global economic meltdown was enormous accompanied with low oil prices and reduced production but Nigeria was one of the least affected oil producing countries. Right now Tinubu and his team are helpless and any hopes of salvation lies in the hands of a brilliant Igbo man most likely from Delta State. They are the most brilliant economists in Nigeria. 1 Like |

PureFace1: You are not too correct.. TheArab guys even import more than us and manufacture less… Yet they are better than us economically .. That export theory is not very solid, it’s mostly a narrative used to play 3rd world countries.. Nigeria is even trying when it comes to manufacturing.. Dubai and co even import sand.. Our problem is regulation of the importation industry.. We are over importing goods, plus corruption.. |
Re: Naira Decline: Bring Back Emefiele; This Team Are Confused by PureFace1(m): 9:15am On Oct 20, 2023 |
LikeAking: You are the one that don't know what you are saying. Export isn't limited to manufacture goods, it can be services, mineral resources like crude oil or tourism, anything that generate forex for the country. You think export is only limited to manufacture of goods ? it doesn't have to be manufactured goods, it can be mineral resources like crude oil, gold etc or tourism and entertainment it can be services like engineering and constructions, do you know how much China make from contructing trains, roads, bridges etc in other countries every year ? Do you know how much forex Saudi Arabia and Isreal generate from religious tourism every year ? that alone can compete with Nigeria revenue from crude Oil Do you know how much forex USA make from Hollywood music and Hip hop every year? that alone can buy Nigeria several times over.
