Go to the nearest market and preach the gospel of this APC government to them, let's see who is the real enemy of the masses.

Re: We Have No Money To Defend The Naira - Reno Omokri by CodeTemplar:
The best defence of the Naira is local production but we ignored that for ages and relied on easy petrodollar to go outside and buy whatever we cannot produce locally. Is it toothpick, shoes, fabric, food, or cars. We never saw the need to produce things locally or prepare for local production all these years.
Pastors decree jobs and favours on pulpits instead of preaching Eph 4:28.
Imams encouraged grabbing of anything public. We found ourselves where we planned to be, albeit, subconsciously.

After the same government Tinubu claimed he enthroned borrowed so much money that this nation is now enmeshed into unimaginable debt burden?

What about the phantom revenue generation the govt have been claiming? What happened to the senseless floating of the naira with the CBN not having an answer for the forex question?

So Reno Omokri job now is to be defending all the idiocy of this useless government. So sad this is what asslicking can reduce someone's brain into a zombie.
Re: We Have No Money To Defend The Naira - Reno Omokri by bjtinz:
Well we can hate and curse Reno all we want, but he made some points here. Naija is close to being officially broke.

For instance we thought we had about $33b in external reserves but findings from JP is that it's just about 10% of that amt if we take care of all liabilities.

However while we may agree Tinubu is coming at a very difficult time economically, his actions do not portray him as one appreciative of the gravity of the situation, rather ironic given his background as an accountant.

His numerous foreign trips with hordes of followers in tow, lodging the most expensive hotels, purchase of exotic cars, etc. Then add his current 48 member cabinet, one of the largest ever❗Haba!!

Whatever happened to buhari will fix security while osunbande will fix the economy.
Tinubu also vowed to continue from where buhari stopped.

Useless spin doctor.

The mere fact that a lot of Nigerians warned against same Buhari here mentioned, warned against his unbridled borrowing but same Buhari was aggressively defended by these miscreants here including the Seunmg, including the Commander in Chief of forgers.... Honestly, you guys deserved to be lynched for supporting idiots who put the nation into great pains!

Now, they have started supporting an old idiot, a spend drifts spending a whooping $400k + in less than 2 weeks!

Na G-d go punish all of Una wey support these Buhari starting from 2015

[quote author=seunmsg post=126546360]To those saying that the Central Bank of Nigeria should resume defending the Naira with $1.5 billion monthly, where will the money come from? The Buhari regime did crude oil swaps for future sales. They already collected money in advance from the oil we are selling today and for the rest of this year ahead of time and spent it. There is no income coming in right now, except diaspora remittances. If Nigerians know what Buhari did, they may vent their anger on him if he is seen in public. That is probably why he said he would retire to Niger Republic. But the coup there spoilt his plans. Nigeria right now is broke! And not just that, the Buhari regime printed trillions of Naira. Money that has no backing beyond just paper. There is no gold in the CBN or reserve abroad to back the printing. And unknown to Nigerians, some of his officials who helped him pull off this heist have fled the country, journalists, do your job. This regime is not talking because APC cannot expose APC!

Baseless excuse without meaning. Buhari Government printed money so why did your Tinubu fight Emefiele for trying to reduce liquidity and till this day has refused to implement cashless and deflation policy? The hope for Nigeria lies in Igbo ethnic group and the conspiracy to kill our economy rather than let them lead is the reason for all these "bulabas".
It is better you restrict yourself to What you know

So Emefiele was fighting liquidity?
Is that what he was doing?

So in your head the solution to consuming too much sugar is to consume a lot of bitter leaf?

Emefiele said many things first he said hewas promoting cashless
If cashless is the agenda that does not reduce liquidity it just makes liquidity electronic so that changes nothing

The reality is 23 trillion entered the economy without backing
You don't remove that simply by removing cash
The money still exists in bank accounts and in the economy

Money is not just paper money

Better keep quiet and observe

And tinubu has boasted about this severally in public before. He can't deny this.

Reno's statement therefore means that tinubu conspired with buhari to ruin the naira and economy!
Tinubu and Atiku brought Buhari to us

Stop telling lies as usual ,when we still have past governors collecting pension for themselves and their families with health care and houses everywhere, when ministries are using 2022 cars including hilux and prados ,when senators and reps members are collecting bogus salaries, when they keep carving out new MDAs when you go to UNGA and can spend over 400k usd ,someone who doesn’t have money cannot be spending recklessly that’s fact and truth.

Una no get money but when e reach time to travel and spend dollars money go show .

First sign that there’s no money is FG would ban all foreign trips by government officials

It’s sad that Nigeria is now a dumping ground because of useless leaders we can’t even feed ourselves we have rivers but don’t have fish ,the imported fish is been laced with formalin just to kill the poor ,of what use is all these money to these politicians when your people are dieing ? Nigeria is now a dumping ground for rubbish food that’s killing us.

Every country secretly prints currency as a remedy and reduces it using different policies. Yes cashless economy reduces liquidity and devaluation if you want to know how then do more research. In cashless economy the entire liquid cash mainly electronic is 100 under control and traceable. It means nobody can print canterfeit and inject into the system because it's useless and anybody that buys foreign exchange must pay for it electronically making ot traceable too. Kidnappers can no longer collect ransome since it has become traceable and can be locked. No more bank robberies cause there's no cash to rob etc. It is better to first go cashless, sell our refineries or if possible gift them to competent hands for free then sell crude to them at local price than deregulation and floating of Dollar. If Nigeria truly wants to industrialize the focus of FG should be Aba and Port Harcourt economic zone where export ports and good transport infrastructure is the only requirement for industrial revolution. No need for the nonsense FDI and loan from anybody.

You are making a baseless claim
Every country secretly prints

Secretly?
Every country?

Do you have any evidence for this?

Without evidence you are talking imagination

Just jumping about like a butterfly
Now you are talking about kidnapping?

Stick to one thing
Your Claim that EMEFIELE WAS TARGETTING LIQUIDITY

Even Emefiele never said so

Cash supply of Bank Notes and Liquidity are VERY DIFFERENT THINGS
As long as the Money is still available for cashless transactions liquidity has not changed

Money is not. just banknotes
Not in today's digital era
The CBN does Not even have the money to print 23 Trillion
So quantitative easing is not all about printing
Long story short

You don't know what you are talking about

Naira is deprecating in value and inflation is skyrocketing

Nigeria should adopt dollar as a legal tender and get rid of naira that has no value
