After coming across some pictures of Enugu, I couldn’t help but think how similar it looks like Kigali, Rwanda.

The governor of Enugu state though controversial in his election win needs to sit up in the development of Enugu.

Enugu has all it needs to drive tourism and hospitality because of its beauty and serenity.

Below are some pictures of Enugu

Wow, so beautiful.
It only needs improvement in infrastructure to align with private investments. But the governor seem to be as clueless as the previous one. He is talking about airline and other foolish wildgoose chase.

I was angry about that airline nonsense he talked about. I hope it’s a private led investment with a small state equity. Government has no business running a business.

If I’m the governor, will just make provision to build at least 4 high rise buildings in the mddle of the city

It will help boost the skyline

It’s not even hard to do. It’s just some of our leaders lack big thinking.

Things that I believe Enugu city needs to do

1) Have an official city master plan which no one can deviate from.
2) Demand that estate developers leave enough space for road expansion
3) Mandate that every house and business should plant a tree or garden
4) Cover the open gutters and create side walks for pedestrians

In addition to the New Enugu City, plans are underway to build the Oji River Industrial City with a private investor.

All they should have done is to make these buildings at least ten floors. Enugu skyline would have improved

One thing I would like to see all cities in Alaigbo to do in the future is to set out hectares of land that will never be developed. It would be used to build parks and public squares where people can gather in the evenings after work or on the weekends.

We don't have much land. Meanwhile enough open space are reserved already. Can you believe this large expense of open space is in Aba despite it's density?

Yes but unfortunately it’s private. You need membership to gain access.

For those that don't know, Abuja and Enugu have the same ambience ☺... Just that Abuja is more infrastructurally developed.

The governor already flagged off the construction of the dual carriage way that will run through the city in addition to other roads . CCECC is the company awarded.

Abuja just like Lagos benefits from federal government infrastructure. Something that no eastern city has ever tasted throughout Nigerian history. Imagine what Enugu will be like if it had many roads built by federal government.

The governor in his speech said it will be a modern city. Let’s hope it’s not empty word’s because we all know what a modern city is supposed to look like.

You can’t be a governor with a mentality like this, build high rise and power it with what when electricity is out, have you considered the cost of gas? You guys would just be talking like ronu people how many firms would be able to rent such high rise if there Would be no elevator and if it includes elevator what’s the cost of running it, the new city is proposed to have its own power plant, wait till then, it doesn’t make economic sense to build high rise in Enugu with the unstable light unless if there’s dedicated power plant
