It seems the real enemies of Igbos are Hausas/Fulanis... But the hate and destructive competition we often witness on social media is between Igbos and Yorubas. Igbos and Yorubas do not hate each other. Online, you see APC urchins doing their best to introduce strife and create enmity between tribes so they can divide-and-rule. However offline, the number of marriages going on between both tribes are legion. Not to talk of their boys and girls who can't get their hands off each other. hegelian: Going by the votes scored by Tinubu in the election in south west states we can say that the so-called "Tinubu minions" are very very plenty. We can also infer that "Tinubu minions" form majority of the yoruba population. With that said we can infer that majority of yoruba population do not or cannot relate openly with Igbos the way they fraternize with Hausas/Fulanis. Dpatriotng: there is nothing bad in people voting for their tribe people..what we are talking about is the hatred, the perceieved hatred between us amplified by tinubu minions.. my parents voted for tinubu and they dont hate igbos, infact we have them as tenants and are very active member of the community. they did it for tribal reasons which was myopic, same with several other people i know... 5 Likes 1 Share |

I won’t say Yorubas don’t have their flaws but Igbos are very tribalistic and they always act like victims when it backfires From the civil war to the last elections. You vote your man but I decide to vote my own man, I’m tribalistic It’s on record that after the war, only Yorubas asked them to return and even gave them their properties back in the SW. No other region did Till date, Obi’s most vocal followers are Yorubas but the politically naive Igbos keep casting aspersions on the Yoruba as a race. first two modern leaders of Yoruba and Igbo people was Awolowo and Azikiwe. There is only one legacy of Zik remaining today….. that is UNN Nsukka. Zik group of companies is not in existence anymore. West African Pilot, one of the biggest media giants of the 40’s has gone extinct. The legacies of Awolowo remain in our modern times….Tribune, the newspaper of Awolowo is still in circulation today. ODUA group of companies still thrive in our time. Cocoa house still rises tall in Ibadan…. OAU remains a giant among tertiary institutions. The blue chip companies Awolowo brought to Ikeja are the biggest companies in the country today…. The legendary city of Ibadan today remains an Agricultural hub because of Awolowo’s projects that attracted IITA AND NIHORT. To understand who has a greater DNA of leadership, you need to learn how to separate propaganda from facts. The new propaganda is that Yoruba people are servitudes to Fulani. The real truth is that the eternal servitudes of the North are from the East. There is no great leader from the region that did not serve the North. Zik, Okpara, Ekweme, Okadigbo…. That were all Northern slaves. Used and dumped by them. Even their greatest warlord of all times came back from exile to serve them. The most powerful man in Yorubaland today in politics is a Yorubaman. The most powerful man in the military and finance is a Yorubaman…. That is far removed from the concept of servitude. I implore every Yorubaman and woman to seek homegrown solution to Yoruba issues. We are capable of finding a sage of our time like our fathers did when they championed Awolowo. Yarubas have been brainwashed and enslaved by the ruling tribal and political class to hate igbo people. Tinubu peddled and sold the igbo hate to keep lagos to himself. Igbos pay taxes regularly and have live peacefully with the yorubas in lagos since the 1920's.
