I bought fuel N625/litre on Saturday here ooo ...fast forward to this tuesday Morning...fuel is now N645 ...Meanwhile dollar is going down everyday. Someone should explain the dynamics to me. |

Nigerian are terrible, jus like those in government. Nothing goes up and comes down easily. It is easier for prices to go up and very difficult coming down. That's why prices shouldn't be allowed to go up in Nigeria in the first place 2 Likes |

Sensational Press reporting is causing people to misunderstand the actual state of the Naira's value. 2 weeks ago, Naira was N1,020. Last week, it rose to N1,310 but today is about N1,180. For businesses that means dollar is about 15 percent higher than it was 2 weeks ago. It would only reduce prices of imported commodity if the dollar falls below the N1,020 it was 2 weeks ago and stays there. Losing N300 to a dollar and gaining N100 is still a net loss in the value of the currency that still results in price hikes. 1 Like 1 Share |
