Protesting Legislative Staff Lock Anambra Lawmakers Out Of Assembly Complex by Esther125(op): 4:16pm On Oct 31, 2023
Staff of Anambra State House of Assembly on Tuesday locked out lawmakers from the state assembly complex.

The lawmakers who were billed to sit were stopped from holding plenary sessions by the protesting staff.

The staff said they were protesting to push for the financial autonomy of the legislative arm of the state.

As early as 7am, the protesters gathered at the gate of the assembly complex, shutting the gate and refusing workers, lawmakers and others access to the complex.

.ng gathered that the protest was a nationwide activity by the Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria (PASAN).

The Chairman of PASAN, Anambra State branch, Abraham Okoye, said: “The protest is not to witch-hunt any state government but aimed at pressing home our demand for full financial autonomy of the legislative arm.”

As of the time of filing this report, the executives of PASAN, some principal officers of the assembly, as well as some representatives of the executive arm of government entered into a closed-door meeting to iron out issues.

Autonomy nonsense. As if they can generate their own revenue. You want to be autonomous on top revenue generated mostly by the executive.

So the executive are generating this money from their personal pocket? Is it not from the same populace that elected the legislative the money/tax comes from

There's really no need for legislative if the executive will pocket them just as we are witnessing in Rivers and most Nigeria states

grin grin grin grin This is what Mr SIM should have done in Rivers ...
Connive with the Legislative staff to mount guard , once the Assembly members begin to assemble during suspicious hours , they put a call to the Gomina .
Once it's ascertained that their sitting isn't within the knowledge of the Gove or his allies in the house , they carry placards to protest for increase in their salaries , lock all the gates to restrict the others from coming in so that a quorum can not be formed , cause mayhem to destabilise everywhere .

That's why I watch money Heist at times ,, for the Professor to launch his second Heist on the Bank of Spain he first caused chaos by throwing Millions of Euros from the sky ...

A ReCAp of what Happened in Rivers state yesterday in the match Between SIM and Wike.

first Half.

(1) In the 2nd minute of the game, Wike's veteran Striker, Former Speaker of the Rivers state House of Assembly Martin Amaewhule moved a motion to remove Ehie Edison as Leader of the house to take the lead.

(2) In the 40th minute team Wike scored a second goal, as they served Sim Fubara his Impeachment notice.

Half Time SIM 0: Wike 2

Second Half

(3)50th minute of the game, SIM Fubara's Young Prodigy who is a two time Young player of the year Ehie Edison dribbles from the center half, as he buys over 18 other Assembly members to impeach the Former Speaker of the House of Assembly Martin Amaewhule, scoring a world class goal bringing the scores to 1:2

(4) 65th minute, Ehie Edison is elected Speaker of the house of Assembly, bringing the game to a 2:2 scoreline.

(5) In the 82, 84th and 85th minute Edison who is obviously the man of the match, grabs three world class assists as he gets SIM Fubara to sack 23 LGA Chairmen, Chief of Staff, CSO and also Suspended the Chief Judge of the state.

Full Time; SIM 5 :Wike 2.

That's how yesterday ended.
