Members of the organised labour, on Friday declared a nationwide strike on Wednesday, November 8, to protest the recent attack on the President of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Joe Ajaero in Imo State. Daily Trust had reported how Ajaero was arrested, brutalised and hospitalised by Policemen allegedly attached to the governor of the State, Hope Uzodimma, during a protest to press home the demands of Imo workers bordering on alleged violation of their rights.

Oga for Abuja knew he failed all the promise made to Labour at the beginning of last month and two weeks ago NLC issue a statement that they will not give any notice before they will declare a nationwide strike, FG and IMO state government did that evil act to Ajaero because the 30days ajaero given to them has expire and they are afraid that Ajaero might want to declare strike.
