Those who are experts in hoarding dollars,Nigeria is gradually happening to u guys and this has led many stranded as to what to do.

The reverse consequence is hard to believe and this could further help in reducing the value of the dollar to naira to a shocking level beyond comprehension.

More money is being pumped in to further reduce the dollar to naira exchange.

The way some of yoj rush and open threads to asslick those that are oppressing you is really baffling.

With the damage the bad economic policies of the government has done to the finances of Nigerians, one would think every Nigerian now knows where the problem is coming from.

This patch patch solution of dumping dollars into the Nigerian fx market is only a one-week solution to a decade-long problem.

How long can the f
Government keep dumping dollars? Instead of them to improve power generation and distribution, create a good environment for export of Nigerian goods, and ensure local refineries work, they are dumping dollars.

I hope you aren't disappointed when dollar starts to rise again

Let us support good things for now despite the fact it is a stolen mandate.

People are suffering and if this can assuage the suffering I would be happy honestly.

You know nothing about exchange rate. This will not stand the test of time. Imagine borrowing 10 billion dollars to salvage the naira. What happens after the money finishes? The debt would have to be paid back with interest in dollars. The only sustainable way to grow the naira value is by production and not by voodo economics or by foreign direct inflow. FDI is almost zero for now. No investor takes Nigeria serious anymore. The currency is unpredictable. The diaspora remittances that use to come through western union and money gram and prop up the naira has dried up because the Nigerian banks were taking our dollars and giving our family naira at CBN fixed route. Now no one routes money through that means instead foreign apps collect the forex and credit your naira account from their Nigerian account at the black rates shutting out CBN and making Nigeria lose completely. Emfiele realized this and tried to attract the diaspora earnings but the damage and trust has been broken forever and this heavily impacted on the naira value. Nigeria will have to fork out more dollars in the future to pay the 51 billion dollars foreign debt. Don't be fooled by this gimmick, the foreign reserves have been depleted. Crude oil earnings have depleted. Nigeria is competing in the same market with the USA and Canada to sell crude. Most of us in the diaspora are thinking of selling off our investment in Nigeria and repatriating the funds to safer clime because we know your naira is useless. Imagine a former president printing 72 trillion naira without national assembly approval and without consequences . Can you invest in that kind of country? Bro forget naira is almost toilet paper or monopoly money. No body that is wise stores his wealth in naira. Pressure for forex is far more than the income. My only regret was even having some of pension and assets in naira. Forget Naira!!!

Make no mistake, many of these guys who are angry have recently used most of their money to buy and hoard dollar with hope it will hit 2000 naira per dollar before December, so they can flex.

Now things are not getting badly as they hope. They are struggling to decide To sell or Not.

Bro forget This talk trust me by December 1 dollar would equals 1500 if not 2000 naira. The way the naira is falling is the only way the can make individuals that are hoarding dollar to sell so the can buy and keep for when the main increase would happen

All these economic dullards won't rest.
First, there is nothing like "hoarders", we have 3 categories of players; currency speculators, investors and gamblers.
The first 2 categories do not lose long-term but I can't say about the third who jumped in and jumped out because of fear.
Please note, long-term.

As long as there is no total control of the parallel market it will actually amount to nothing because it's still going to move back again. Emefiele actually has done more of this the dollar moved down but strengthen against naira several times and several occasions.
If you conversant with the parallel market trading you will understand that this trend is common occurrence.

The best way to save Naira is by
Fixing the rate just like Emefiele has been

Get our refineries working
Try encourage modular refineries

Allow the price of fuel to crash and see magic

Improving our power generation by building a coal /gas run power station in Enugu

As big as china it generates more than half of its power from coal!
Just try and cut down cost of production and see
Changes

Doing borrowing money to back naira is disaster just another stupid form of subsidy scheme
It's better they return subsidy than backing naira with dollars because the price of fuel is a major influence in inflation and the value of naira itself

This floating is a disaster I see people saying some people are Angry Naira is making gains

One even Said igbos are Angry for what?

Who would gain if naira strengthens?

Who imports the most in Nigeria?

Who buys the dollars for import?

What all business people want is a little bit stable economy

Do u understand the implication of what they are doing? Same thing Emiefele did and I shouted, but how much do I have, which influence do I command? Who will listen to me? I shouted then, with what he was doing dollar would reach 1k. How can u use Panadol to treat cancer and expect success? They continue, though naira appreciated then, but when the real forces of supply and demand came, dollar eventually hit over 1k. They have started again. Pls Nigerians buy dollar and keep and expect it to hit 2k soon. Pls.save this post because you might want to say thank u

Dangote will fire and save us from petrol importation. That means dollar demand is about to drastically drop. It now depends on what uncle Yekini's govt does with the dollar Dangote affords them. You projected well but there are some changes on the horizon that can change all of that.

On top of that, the money to pay back the debt is meant to be from oil and gas sales which have already been mortgaged in forward contracts.

I see some yorubas here making funny posts. These people think running a government is by emotions and sentiments.

How can Tinubu be borrowing dollars to stabilize naira? Who does that? That's another stupid subsidy scheme. It's even far worse than paying subsidy on fuel. It's similar to printing more cash to have liquidity. The sort of voodoo economics fools like Idi Amin and Buhari embarked on.

I won't mind using my savings to buy dollars now because it will definitely rise again. This time astronomically! You can only boost your currency by adding value to your economy, not by borrowing to subsidize forex. Jesus Christ, Tinubu and his team must be very stupid!!!

Spits!

1. Dangote will buy his crude in dollars and sell his refined products in dollars.

2. The Naira equivalent of the dollars will be the price of the refined products and it will be high in Naira.

3. Dangote would prefer selling his refined products in international markets for top dollar and potentially give Nigeria a 10-15% quota.

4. The only savings for Nigeria with Dangote is in shipping and clearing costs we currently see with imported refined products. But again, our roads are bad, no railtrack and waterways for cargo transport, and so the difference in logistics costs will be minimal compared to current situation
