please when have we had intensity this season? Was it against celta? Granada? Or getafe? Or the second half debacle in the classico? Lol dude we've been struggling all season, getting lucky wins due to some individual game changing performances.
Barca getting lucky wins ?

Aside yesterday game where was the lucky wins we have been getting grin

Real Sociedad is MID.

The only high level teams above Barca in the league are Girona and Real Madrid.

We know what happened the last time Ter Spastic faced one of those teams...

He'll be facing Girona very soon...sha be there.
Real sociedad is mid ? Lol

The same one that inter millan struggled against ?

Sociedad is mid bur girona is not mid Because they are second ?

You are definately a troll

A mid team playing in the ucl where teams like benfica and inter can’t win against them

Lots of injuries to key players have distorted progress so far. We played well against Betis and a couple other matches but we're still in early November. Plenty of time left for the team to improve. We need to keep picking up W by any means necessary while waiting for the team to peak. Hopefully, we peak at right time.

The only name I mentioned was Gundogan, that's my focus. Allow me to praise a 93rd minute defense-splitting pass that disorganised 6 defenders to find Araujo and not these shenanigans you're saying.
But it was Pedri who started that play to Balde who found Gundo

We played superbly how? Do you know the meaning of superbly?
I dey shame for Una comments sometimes. Is this how low the bar has dropped? A decent 45 mins performance is now superb. Wow.
Y'all xavisexuals will never cease to amaze me
Yes we played superbly against vardrid and on the balance on play we looked like we would win
2 shots striking the goal post, A possible penalty incident in the first half not given and we being in Control of the match for long periods despite having 5 key players not starting the match, even the ones that came in were obviously match rusty, Bellingham's first goal was a long range effort after being mostly kept quiet by Gavi and the second was a miscontrolled assist from modric which he was sharp enough to read, Match wey gavi dey talk say it's no use playing well and not taking home the three points after the game
We played shit yesterday due but when I remember
We played better against vardrid and lost
We had lost FDJ and Pedri who were our key controllers in that midfield aside gundogan
We just beat a team who had not lost in 17 games at home in all comps before their loss yesterday
Why I won't I be satisfied with taking my three points and run
Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by Kilishihunter:
jpmoriarti:
As in, I didn't understand the negativity surrounding our win yesterday.

Yes, we didn't play well but have you looked at the profile of the team we played? They're UCL table topper, haven't lost at home in a very long time.

Yes we could have done better but it is never here nor there. They dominated possession but I couldn't remember any gilt-edge chances that was generated by them. Maybe a couple of long ball shots.

In contrast, if it were Real Madrid that played and won that match, everyone will be talking about how mentally strong the team was, to keep believing. Or how Ancelotti was able to change the game and get the win.

I don't understand the double standard. It is like we have no right to win a match we didn't dominate from beginning to the end. 😬

This is madness.
The thing dey vex me honestly
We play well and drop point, Problem
We play bad and win, Problem
Even some fans of clubs that specialize in the play bad and win were doing the most on the timeline yesterday after the 93rd minute induced pains
Did you see how gundogan was dropping deeper and deeper to start plays, how lewa would even leave the attack to drop very deep, something we no send the werey, I can't believe people expected us to go and steamroll real sociedad who had not lost in 17 home games in all competitions, even inter almost lost here in September
Xavi might not have the tactical IQ of pep and other experienced managers but I can bet you he would highly struggle to replicate his city version with key players getting injured like as if it's an obligation to, less funds to spend and a lot of youth who are still growing, We lost dembele we said we'll manage what we have, City lost Mahrez and bought doku
Even that same pep has been shown to be mitigated at several points against teams close to his like Newcastle and arsenal, someone who had already learned the act of packing the bus due to his UCL woes, that's how MATS was dragged like mad last week, after last night he's suddenly most people's best GK in the world, Kai

Girona didn't score a single goal against us home and away last season and they had the same coach with most of their current players in the team
How are you even comparing Girona to real sociedad sef? People who just found their way to the top 4 this season compared to real sociedad who are 2020 Copa del Rey winners and are mostly a constant in going to europa before they qualified for the UCL last season? People who even beat us at the camp Nou last season
MATS was great against a solid team yesterday chief, just gbagbe
Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by Kilishihunter: 12:32pm On Nov 05, 2023
After yesterday I came to the conclusion that after getting a good pivot, we also need another striker to pair Roque, someone with more experience in Europe to phase out lewandowski, he might just be returning from injury and is still our best finisher considering his pichichi but man looks like age has caught up with him, even ferran shows several attributes of a striker but he mostly misses his shots, We just have to look for money somehow and fight against tebas's FFP chokehold cause we need new life in that attack
Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by Culer: 1:31pm On Nov 05, 2023
Loads of bullcrap on my mentions.. Blind xavisexuals. How Una take dey reason sef? 😁

A midfield of gavi Gundo and fermin can't string 5 passes together and you dey talk of injuries. Which midfielders sociedad get? Y'all should keep bullshitting yourselves.

La Masia!!! Just get any La Masia kid and give him game time. grin

On serious note, instead of spending millions on another flop, it is better to look inward. This Roque sef is not convincing. This is Europe not America.

Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by Kilishihunter: 2:14pm On Nov 05, 2023
We didn't play well for most parts but the three points is all that matters, if you are comfortable with only playing well like last week and losing then na you sabi

Meanwhile I saw this piece online and decided to copy it here to see our faults and where xavi got it wrong with his tactics and how we can fare better going forward

Yesterday's match was nothing short of a series of failed experiments, and hopefully the coaches and players learn from it. First of all, lots of credits to Ter Stegen for keeping the scoreline at 0-0 until the 90th minute. The German goalie was called into action right from the first minute, and he did not disappoint.

• Cancelo is not a winger! The Portuguese is a full-back who inverts into the midfield and creates chances. When he is deployed upfront, he loses his greatest asset which is running into spaces and delivering killer passes. Playing Cancelo upfront affects his performances, as the role contrasts with his profile.

• Gundogan is not excellent when deployed as a DM. The German lost 4 balls in risky areas of the pitch. The best display of Gundogan comes when he is playing high up the pitch as a number 8, where he has the freedom to distribute passes, make runs and control the flow of the game. Gundo is like Kroos, they perform better without the burden of defensive duties. This is why we need Zubimendi for next season. Romeu cannot beat the first line of press, hence when he plays our build-up is greatly affected.

• Lewandowski needs to stay in the box. Him trying to play like Suarez or Benzema is a collosal waste of time because he lacks the skill set to do so. In the first half, Balde dribbled H. Traore, but couldnt square the ball because Lewandowski was nowhere near the box and Cancelo was closer to the linesman. Lewy should focus on being the target man and leave the dynamism to our midfielders.

• Joao Felix needs to stop diving! He is a talented player who can dribble very well, but he dives at the slightest contact and referees let the game play on! On 3 occasions he could have progressed the ball, but he seemed more interested in diving and rolling on the floor! Football is a game for men, stay on your feet or you stay at home. Even the penalty shout wasnt even close, Felix still had the space to continue, but as soon as he tapped the feet of Zubeldia, he flung himself to the ground like Rey Mysterio!

• Pedri's return will give the team a huge boost. He wasnt at his best yesterday, however he still showed glimpses of brilliance in some situations.

Santiago gimenez Dey Mexico as at early 2022 before his move to feyenoord and he has been doing well there

You don buy roque why not wait to see him ? You don’t need gimenez since you spent big on roque

The points won is what matter at the end of the day. A team without a stable starting lineup will likely have a lot of purple patches.

But if your concern is that we're not playing sexy football, I respect your view bro.

lol. I don talk am for here tire. the guy na average player. He's just a 'forceful bull' type of striker- zero technicality, zero finesse shots, zero ball control. If you watch him and watch endrick, you'll know say dem no be mate. Endrick is miles clear even though he's younger than the roque.

I'm not praying for him to turn out bad sha, but I dey laugh culers wey dey hope on am. He go too disappoint them. Waste of 35m😁

Aren't you a little pessimistic?

He's a "forceful bull', rightly so...Be like you never the see the kind game dem dey play for south america? even Endrick na the same gidigbo football he dey play cos it's the requirement.

Name one south american striker without this feature. It's like a prerequisite to be strong, bullish fast and above all very muscular, na small he use style different from African football.

chief, I really really hope my opinion of him is wrong. I want him to prove me wrong when he arrives ( even if he doesn't hit the ground running immediately). Wetin I gain if he comes and flop? If he doesn't turn out to be what culers have hyped him up to be, na we go still be laughing stock las las.

For now, I don't see the "IT" thing in him. I've watched several of paraense games since he got linked with us, He's nothing special.

Baba you need to calm down...did you watch Alvarez for River plate?...baba was 100% gidigbo player..the only thing was that he was quite clinical..Pep polished him and he's doing quite well..
I've also watched the Roque of a guy, he's still a raw talent...Xavi has alot of work to do with him...My happiness is you can't bully him..Baba stand gidigba for ground..he just needs to be taught on how to exploit spaces and also be very clinical

Inward how baba mi?
Marc Guiu that scored our winner last two weeks is just 17 and might obviously need much time to adjust to the demands of first team football, see how even yamal usually rushes things sometimes despite how talented he is cause he's still gradually gaining experience in top flight football
Unless lewa improves and stays next season, we need an established striker even if he's young to battle Vitor Roque for our striker spot in the coming seasons, I for say make we look dem osimhen side but who dash monkey banana cry

Culer and Roque, Wahala grin grin
Even endrick that is more talented in aspects other than scoring still has to come to Europe to adjust to real Madrid's first team demands, Roque that has been injured since September is still in the top half of highest goalscorers list in the Brazilian serie A, Go and check Atletico paraense's matches after he got injured,na mostly draw or lose, infact they've not currently won in three league matches, no be even last two matches wey endrick start to dey score sef? huh

Bros no bring Alvarez come here, You can't and shouldn't compare him to vitor hippo roque. Alvarez was class at River plate, scoring worldies upon worldies with wicked finesse and dribbles.
I remember when I occasionally hyped him up here with my deactivated NL account (descortes) before he made the move to city. And city got him for a meagre €15m.

I wasn't surprised that he turned out good for city cuz that killed instinct in front of goal has always been there.
