Usmanovic95:The previous tuition fee is not sustainable, university system is largely underfunded resulting to incessant strike by the staff unions. If school management Increase the cost of getting education and utimately running an institution, which is the right thing for quality education, it will be foolish for opposition party to galvanize back to the era of government funding instability in tertiary education. |

obawinner: You obviously can't give what you lack. This government obviously lack the empathy for the common man.A government that is empathetically inclined to the masses will dole out some relief in order to make education affordable to some large extent. What mechanisms are in place, the student loan bill is not accessible.A large number of students are dropping out, while a greater number are doing illegal shits to sponsor themselves. But you are here banking on the votes of these downtrodden people in 2027? |

Usmanovic95:Rest, student education loan hasn't even kicked off yet.In saner climes we compare ourselves to, you work for many years to offset government loans for education. 1 Like |

There are several reasons why President Tinubu lost Lagos in the last February 2023 Nigerian presidential elections. * **Dissatisfaction with the APC government:** The APC government has been in power in Lagos State since 2015, and many voters were dissatisfied with its performance. They felt that the government had not done enough to address the state's problems, such as poverty, unemployment, and insecurity. * **The rising popularity of Peter Obi:** Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, was very popular in Lagos State, especially among young people. He was seen as a fresh face and a credible alternative to the old guard. * **Tinubu's perceived arrogance:** Some voters felt that Tinubu was arrogant and out of touch with the needs of the people. They were also critical of his close ties to the APC government, which they felt was corrupt. * **Ethnic and religious tensions:** Lagos State is a cosmopolitan city with a diverse population. However, there are also some ethnic and religious tensions in the state. Some voters felt that Tinubu's Muslim-Muslim presidential ticket was divisive and could lead to further conflict. In the end, Tinubu lost Lagos State to Peter Obi by a narrow margin. This was a major setback for Tinubu and the APC, and it showed that the people of Lagos were ready for change. According to a post-election survey by Stears, the top three reasons why voters in Lagos State voted for Peter Obi were: 1. His competence and ability to lead (53%) 2. His credibility and trustworthiness (48%) 3. His fresh perspective and new ideas (45%) The top three reasons why voters in Lagos State voted for Bola Tinubu were: 1. His experience and track record (48%) 2. His ability to deliver results (45%) 3. His strong leadership qualities (43%) The survey also found that young people (aged 18-34) were more likely to vote for Peter Obi, while older people (aged 55 and above) were more likely to vote for Bola Tinubu. 1 Like |

He lost Lagos because of over confidence by his supporters .They assumed that he had won already and were playing football on election day. Obi rigged the election. The following week they came out in full force . 1 Like |

lexylaw40: It wasn't a game, it was an underestimation of the people's resolve to remove APC, labour party votes were hugely suppressed yet it couldn't be overturned due to the huge margin, it was in truth in the region of 950t : 150t, it was also replicated in ss, se and nc including Abuja, truthfully, he lost the election, he didn't even make 2nd position, he came 3rd, the glitch was used to rescue tinubu, he sanctioned his men on their complacency in using force and violence to coarse voters, so the came out gun blazing on voters during governorship election to forestall what happened during presidential election. |
