Nobody was praying for it. It's inevitable. The temporary injection of dollars to increase supply cannot be sustained by a broke government. It's not different from the Naira subsidy. Once the injection stops, dollar goes up again

Most of you folks just do not know what you want.
You are just caught up between politicking and reality.
Don't know whether you want right sizing of the local currency and a fix of the economy or 'feel good'...... aka sentiment.
Like a sick patient who wants to be treated but hides the fact so that his strongman persona remains intact.

I personally do not care about the value of the naira viz the dollar.
My concern is about inflation and with good governance both issues can be separated and should be separate issues.
You can have a weak currency of exchange and a growing, strong economy if the right things are done.

I have observed that dollar will rise like 100 to 300 naira and then drop like like 50 to 150 after some time it will rise again e.g rise from 700 to 1000 drop to 900 after some times mayb 3 months interval rise to 1,300 then drop to 1200 the cycles continues just my observation

How will banks get the supply of dollars and remit to the companies people place such orders with. Don't u know companies that came to Nigeria as foreign investors still pending backlog for their remitance.

To deal with this black market people, make it effortless for people to make USD payments with their Naira debit cards.

This will greatly reduce reliance on black market and virtual card services. To compete, these people will have no option than to align their rate near the official rate.

As a result, market forces will then determine the exchange rate, effectively floating the naira.

You can't unify the exchange rate like the fraud claims he doing while people find it near impossible to access dollar from official channels.

I'm concerned because I had the misfortune of being born in this country. While I have a dual citizenship, Nigeria is still my country and I have substantial investments in this shithole, and my investments are the reason I still return to the country, and currently in this country.
