We will continue to explore health initiatives for the good of our people, being a key sector in realization of our Peoples Charter of Needs.

Today, we hosted the Ebonyi State Health Insurance Summit, wherein we have undertaken to make available, 5% monthly contributions for all civil servants to enroll in the State Health Insurance Scheme, from January 2024. Additionally, the State will provide the sum of Two Hundred Million Naira annually, for the informal sector to take part in the scheme.

We know the importance of providing improved healthcare services for our people and as well, the financial implications that come with it. This is why as Government, we have stepped in to ensure better health for our people, while reducing the financial burden, as we promised in our manifesto.

I encourage all business men and well-to-do ones of our dear State, to adopt Health Insurance as Corporate Social Responsibility and as Constituency Projects. Through this, we will be able to protect our people from financial hardship that may arise from exhorbitant medical bills.

2023 supplementary budget by Federal government

The sum of the cost of construction of the 20 new road projects across the country stood at N58 billion. Some of the new road projects included in the 2023 supplementary budget include the rehabilitation and dualization of the Enugu – Abakaliki – Ogoja road, the construction of the Ayegun – Oleyo road, and the dualization of the Amawobia – Ekwulobia – Mokwa road, among others.

All local government chairmen, Governor and Deputy, all assembly members bar 1, all senators, all house of reps bar 1 are all APC members with rumours of incoming defections.

Keep your useless opinion to yourself. If you had really cared about us, you would had developed Abakaliki bloc whilst it was still under godforsaken useless old east central state.
