Heavy gunshots have rented the air in Amaimo Central School in Ikeduru LGA of Imo state, as residents troop out to cast votes in the ongoing governorship election.

It was gathered that police officers clashed with party agents at the polling unit.

Voting has since commenced in the three states of Kogi, Imo and Bayelsa where off-cycle gubernatorial elections are taking place today

Inec should do everything possible to redeem their image and voters confidence in this weekend elections in Imo, Kogi and Bayelsa States. Every form of rigging, vote buying, intimidation and manipulation of results must be firmly resisted and blocked by Inec.
