Nigerians must be coerced softly before they can succumb to new ideas and policy changes. Do it gradually and favourably not through propaganda and coercion for it is sweeter that way, you never understood why okonjo iweala is a genius today along with the black blacksheep SLS former CBN governor. The spirit(espirit de lois) make the people happy, they will find a way to survive and elevate the economy especially in Nigeria. 3 Likes |

Imagine you are inside a bus and you see a well dressed man, adverting a book on how to be rich, sweating profusely because of the heat. For my mind, I was like, can't this man read his own book so that he can be rich and stop advertising from bus to bus. Bottom line, some people no even dey practice what they preach |

Re: I Will Play: What Tinubu Must Understand... by DeLaRue: 3:20am On Nov 15, 2023 |
The government is absolutely on the right path. Nigeria was on its knees and on the verge of collapse. Tough decisions needed to be taken. Mr Tinubu took it and did so decisively. Brilliant. Petrol Subsidy gone - one of the best decisions taken by any Nigerian president for at least 25 years. Without that decision, this country was heading for bankruptcy, the consequence of which would have been worse that where we are today. |

Re: I Will Play: What Tinubu Must Understand... by Birdbyrde440: 4:26am On Nov 15, 2023 |
DeLaRue: You are right but... What about other subsidies that have been removed in the past (e.g health, transport, education and more recently, diesel SUBSIDY) did the common man benefit from removal of those subsidies? Did things get better or worse after removing the subsidies? Tinubu might have taken a prudent decision by removing fuel SUBSIDY but he did it hastily, without regards for the economic statistics of the nation. Why is he still struggling with minimum wage? Say cash transfer to the poorest of the poor... ain't that a joke? |
