Trial and error form of government.

To this now, the gullible ones will start praising them because they are a listening government...
Cheapest point ever

Thats how an illegitimate, criminal president would approve a policy that would ultimately end your life, like he has already sunk many of you in abject poverty, with no recourse!

You don’t play on the intelligence of our scholars.

The rebuttal was too much to bear, he had to rescind his plan.

@me
He was not the one that introduced it. It was in the finance act signed by buhari.

What?! And they said he is not educated. Damn. This man is brilliant! This is a brilliant move. Universities will now have money to a lot of research and further develop their campuses. This is a brilliant move!

I don't think you guys read before commenting. It was in last year's finance act signed by buhari and due for implementation this year. The ministry of finance just activated it but he stopped it.

Nice one

A president that listen and does not waste time in doing the right thing
He wanted to do the wrong thing, then he stopped.

Nothing "right" to see here.

In fact, he did nothing.

@oluseyiforjesus
Explain to a layman please.

@me
The finance act 2022 signed by buhari demands that higher institutions should remit 40% of their surplus internally generated revenue to the federal government. The implementation period is this year.

The ministry activated it but wrongly i.e. that they should remit 40% of their IGR. The schools complained that the implementation will force them to pass on the cost to the students. This will result to higher fees.

The president listened to them and stopped the implementation.

Why blaming Tinubu for it?

Children of hate and frustration.
u getting emotional. ae u sure u understood the question?

yes its very good to listen but I thought Tinubu was touted as the "master strategist"? if every policy he announces he eventually has to cancel as a result of public outcry (except buying new cars and wasteful renovations), does that not show that he has absolutely no plan and is only doing trial by error?

The new AGF is a woman, that was one of her first directive when she was Appointed. AGF has the power to impose IGR on Federal bodies
Who asked you for the gender of the AGF now, you will tell me.

- How did her directive pass through the office or the president, and why was it communicated as being from there?

- Show me a proof of your claim, because I've searched and cannot find where the AGF has the power to impose such directives.

Someone that was appointed by Buhari in May is who has made a first directive about IGR on tuition that just became a public discourse about a month ago or less. undecided
