This your ideology is what made nigeria go to the dogs.
Someone sacrificed to make those countries that you look up to what they are today.
When you see someone sacrificing, dont ridicule him. If you cant help, at least dont destroy.
Martins is the hero in this story, not you.

Don't shake table when you you are not the head of the table.

There’s nothing heroic in losing one’s source of income, Nigeria system has always been like that speak up and get killed or humiliated, this is exact reason why some of us aren’t patriotic, because you will be subjected to face oppression and abuse by others even though you are standing for the right thing they find a way to protect their own corrupt people and send you that’s raising the alarm packing

Patriotism has a price

What price?

Go to other countries and see how patriots are honoured and placed on pedestals!

Only in Nigeria does patriotism have this kinda price!

It's crime that shouldn't pay, it's corruption that should have a price!

But what do people say? "If you dey there, you go do pass am sef", and corruption goes on.

I wonder when Nigeria will crash the way things are going, because it's no longer a matter of "if" anymore.

You think people who make changes don’t suffer Do u know what Mandela went through to make South Africa the way it is? Same for Singapore. If you are to weak or scared to fight, the least you can do is support those who are ready to do it. Not cower in fear and expect miracle from above.

Some things are not worth fighting for.
Are they paying their salaries from your pocket?
Are you the one doing their duties?
Others saw and looked away .
You saw and wanted to be a patriot..
So they can applaud you and give you special award for diligence?
Nigeria has gone to the dogs .
No one respects patriotism .

How did you come to the conclusion that Mr martins did what because he wanted to be applauded and wanted an award?

You said he was diligent and patriotic. Are diligent and patriotic people diligent and patriotic because they want applause and award?

How does what you wrote make any sense to you?... in this case and many other cases where the minister and perm sec are not doing it, what then happens?

Mehn, if you cant applaud him or lend your support, then move on, rather than ridicule him for doing what is right.

You just want to exercise your fingers by typing this post, we are talking about Nigeria not South Africa, I’ve seen things more than you do, If you’re familiar with Benin city go ask about Hitech construction company i and my other colleagues fought for workers welfare as the previous corrupt union refused to talk simply because they were benefiting from the company we came they told us 6 months probation then staff behold I saw people working as casual in one year nobody couldn’t talk, until we mobilized shutdown the company activities for one week we protested to governments house and write to state NLC and then dissolve previous union set up care taker committee and make sure the company agreed to staff already due workers, as we were doing this things I get to understand a lots of things why the previous union refused to pilot the workers affairs the same workers you’re fighting for will be the ones leaking every meetings we hold to the company management and write the names of those involved, we face betrayal some of those who we removed as Union members even results to using juju to fight us, why others castigated us to be the black sheep of the company, long story cut short we actually succeeded in the quest for having our co workers getting staffed but not everyone make the list, if you start a fight of changing this country that’s when you will realize that 80% of Nigerians are loyal to bad government because that they will sabotage your efforts, look at Endsars for instance it was still the same youth the government sent to sabotage the efforts, Military and police are also affected by bad government but when you start holding your ground to make sure your voice is heard they are still same people that will be deployed to kill you on a nutshell Nigeria is not a country where you can sacrifice yourself others will sabotage your efforts, Mandela fought to liberate South Africans go there today and see how others who came into office now squander resources even Ghana that Rawlings sanitized are now heavily into corruption in govt.. we blacks are too corrupt

Indiredt expose. You don't have to expose some frauds directly by messing up your life. Wisdom is profitable. Bible says all things are lawful but not all things are advantageous.

Whenever you see someone dies at road side, pls endeavour to take him or her to the mortuary, I will like to read aftermath of ur story .

In Naija u will die for nothing, ....I say nathing" and ur family would suffer alone if you want to be patriotic all time.

Don't be surprised, Head of service or even president might know about it.

I believe u read how many years he had petitioned last National Assembly before they parked off without solid outcome.

Naija system is damaged beyond repair.

Maybe you could give examples of this 'indirect way' so that others may learn.

If he had given information anonymously, it would have been thrown out as hearsay or rumour. He put himself on the line (assuming this press report is a true and fair account of what happened) to expose wrongdoing. If people cannot support the courage the man has shown then perhaps silence would be the next best option. Not the pointless criticism that some on this thread have engaged in.
