My Agric Journey by Lanmonfarm(op): 9:09am On Nov 17, 2023
I've always appreciated nature, always been curious how they are born, grow and mature, especially when I get back from school I get in the big fish pond with Mr odun's workers close to my house, to rearing our annual Christmas chicken( I take care of them personally), it's really been it. After institution ( OND) raised money from here n there, got myself a fish farm, was doing very well but was just 3 months in and covid hit us hard, I lost the farm, then traveled to Abuja for a fish farm job
around lugbe, but the water in the north, especially that area was bad and had to leave after a month, then got another at ibadan nnpc area( ajangboju), water was good, but not always enough but I still raised 30000 fingerling first production and but longer than usual because of water available, my employee had a daughter, grown and was always with me when working, studies fishery for that matter, so they taught they could sideline me and run the business,so I left after too many quarrel and later heard the farm died after 4 attempts by the lady, she just dey study fishery for nothing. Then I decided I should try something else. Worked for a man that had both fish and plantation farm. I picked interest in the planting but I wasn't ready to be a farm worker. A few months I received a mail from a farm(jia) I sent my CV, and we had an interview on zoom and just within days I found myself moving to oyo, a big plantation farm more than 180acres of land.
I'm going a year now and I can boldly prepare land for planting, plant corn, cassava, soyabean, beans, pepper, tomatoes but I'm still experimenting on onions and sesame ( Haven't really started), my strongest doings is always the research, I dig so very deep into affairs that concern me. I'm still currently at the farm but I've learnt so far is there's nothing like having yours.
I have to carry those steps but no successful person is a product of himself, people influence also happened, I use this opportunity to inform whosever had time to read this I can get Various farm produce to you inform of
