An infant was prematurely given birth to and was put in an incubator till matured stage. The infant was then taken out of the machine thereafter.

The question now is that what will be the kid's date of birth?. The day he was prematurely given birth to or the day he was taken out of the incubator.

I tend to disagree. Since it was not capable of sustaining its own life as at the time it was prematurely born, the proper date of its birth should be when it was taken out of the life sustaining machine.

The date of the premature birth is more proper to me but doctors seems to favour their corrected age medically

Date of birth simple means the day the child came out from his/her mum's womb

Honestly, i cant find any logic to justify that it shoud be the date he actually died cos if the logic i proposed in relation to birth is to be followed, then the date of death should be the day he was placed on the life support. I like this kind of thinking.

Dyu know that as yolk is to egg, so a foetus is to the incubator. A hen lay on this egg for 21 days (which is the INCUBATION period)

I suggest so far we don't start counting the age of the chick right from when it's in the egg, we should not be counting the age of an infant before it's given birth to (or taken out of the incubator)

Well in South Korea, the day you were born, you are registered as one year old. Your one year birthday is your 2years birthday in S Korea.
