The listed states should tell Nigerians where they keep all the revenues and taxes they have been collecting from the traders , shipowners , okada riders , parks and garages etc .

There's no state that is not generating revenue from the LGs but the question should be where are they keeping those revenues .

Imagine the paltry figure Ogun state posted ? I personally paid 13,000 to Abeokuta North and Obafemi-owode in the period under review and almost every business owners pay some varying sums of money to the LGs , these people rake in money daily from the transporters and traders

So what happened to the monthly levies collected from the people
Prolly a dysfunctional collection system or state government corruption or both. Some states still function as fiefdoms.

The last governor was a proper administrator, just didn't have much media pr , it's one of the few peaceful states in the North as well.

Everyone can now see the main reason Aguiyi Ironsi eradicated regional governments and promulgated his draconian decree 34.
I trust his people will soon come out to say it's because of Oyo state's proximity to Lagos that helped them to generate the highest revenue.
Ibadan/Oyo state you call brown roof hqrs generated almost 12billion, while your Anambra's home of phantom billionaires generated paltry 154million even behind Osun and Ekiti states.
Igbos go say Dem marginalized Dem again. All the Igbo state are not viable.

All they generate put together is not up to 2 Billion Imagine and yet na dem wan break up. Oyo alone produced almost times 10 of the whole of eastern state put together.

Na dia voice you go still hear, not knowing that they are the urchins here feeding on other people's wealth in the Nigerian state.

Southeast has very dull, corrupt and clueless leaders... This is not even up for argument.

Sadly, the same can be said for a lot of South-south states as well.

That's why I keep telling them that their real Biafra Agitation ought to begin within and among themselves at home... They need to collectively go back home and put their houses in order instead of yapping at Aso Rock like toothless cowards.
The whole of the Eastern state put together is just about the size of Oyo state. Look at what Oyo state have generated compared to all of them put together.

Igbos should task there governors to do more for them, imagine six state governors collecting monthly allocation to develop a small land mass similar to that of Oyo state and couldn't manage to achieve any tangible results.

Igbos will be shock when dey get their Biafra and discover they have been living on the largesse of other state. They offer nothing to the state.

I expect Ogun State to be one of the top state on local governments revenue and I expect Lagos to be far above Oyo cos the tax by local governments in Lagos is much....what is happening in this country

If not because Oyo state has been grossly mismanaged, over the years Lagos,Lagos shouldn't be beating Oyo state considering how Ibadan pioneered Nigeria modernity and civilization

some state are not generating revenue because Federal Govt have refused to invest in them a good example is Benue which unlike Lagos state who keeps on receiving Billions of dollars from the federal Govt al all in the name of Lekki deep port this that to whom much is given much is generated simple as that undecided

This is just the whole TRUTH, bitter but pure facts.

Igbos need to quit chasing shadows and looking everywhere else for their problems rather than within themselves.

Imo hasn't had a sensible leader since Sam Mbakwe... Enugu has retrogressed since Sullivan Chime... Anambra never seems to fully find its feet... Abia has been deliberately allowed to wither away under the very watch of the Igbo people (PDP)... And as for Ebonyi, I don't even know how and why that state was formed.

Then come to South-South... Akwa-Ibom never grew beyond the rogue currently heading the National Assembly... Cross River never took off since Duke laid a great foundation... Delta has shockingly been robbed blind and underdeveloped for the past 23 years of Civilian rule... As for Bayelsa, one day I will finally believe that is a state in the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

This is making it look like only the south west states governors are more transparent and truthful with their financial reporting.
All governors from other regions are deceiving their people.

You can't tell me these states did not generate anything or they are generating these biscuit money they call revenue after all the garage levies and lock up shops tax and levies they collect from shop owners in their respective states.

Ah ah! Why would all the LGs in a state not generate anything?

very true its same way that even what is being reported in the other states are only a minute fraction of the actual.

so in the case of anambra, it wasnt reported. even if it was reported, the money will suffer the same fate that of other states that reported figures

Stop capping.

Money declared goes to the CBN.

Anambra's income is swallowed by Obiano and Obi.
