Residents of a building in Lagos state went online to lament as they hurriedly removed their properties from their home which was set to be demolished.

The house, located on the mainland in Lagos State, is one of those the state government marked for mass demolition.

One resident paid N1.7 million just one month ago to move into the house and now has to leave before his rent expires.

They should compensate them.

It is not advisable to buy land in Lagos.If omonile no give you wahala, government go give you trouble.Na only tinubu's properties get approval.Other non indigenes are not permitted.

These demolitions in Festac are being carried out by FHA not Lagos State. Those who have relevant documents and approved plans can seek redress.

Sad and avoidable loss no doubt.

FHA had to wait for the houses to be completed before they start to demolish. Why didn't they stop the construction process? If this is not wickedness, what is it?

I am into Real Estate and I know the nitty gritty of this business. For someone to spend this huge amount of money to build this kind of mansion the least thing he can do is not to get approval from various agencies of the Government. These wanton destruction of properties shouldn't be encouraged at all. When these buildings were erected what did the various agencies in--charge did.

Since Lagos is now becoming hostile to Igbos. I think Igbos should activate an exit plan. Asaba, Awka, Enugu, Nnewi are all there for us to explore and develop.

If they tell you that the buildings being bulldozed down were built on canals and waterways, ask them if it is only Igbos that build on those sites. Ask them also who gave the building plan approval, and who took the money for the land sale. Ask them who stamped the Deed at Alausa and gave the Governor's Consent. Finally ask them which state Treasury received all these monies and issued receipts to these defaulting property owners.
Ask them also if this has a correlation with the shops and markets being incessantly closed for long periods of time.
They wouldn't provide you with satisfactory answers because this is organized state-sponsored ethnic profiling targeted at Igbos that own properties in Lagos, and sanctioned by the Oga patapata himself at Abuja.
