Only problem with my height is difficulty finding the right jeans size.

I am 6'3 in height and I am 19 yrs of age. I usually feel too tall when I walk around my age mates and what makes me feel insecure the most is when people start saying that I am long.

Tall people out there, how do you survive? I also hate it when people stare at my height when I am walking in the street because I am the kind of person that likes being conspicuous and unseen.

At times I just wish I wasn't so tall, so I would like to know at what age does one stop growing in height?

@ postinor You is a very lucky fella..I'm 6+ too and bit bulky.
Years ago,I used ta be just tall and niggas used to call me those "long man,longi" shht but all that stopped after I made an example of one of them flap lips cos it was really annoying.

Try get down with some exercises and muscle build-up. Dress plain,I mean dark black baggy jeans/chinos/full combat,flat all black shoes..any plain or non plain shirt on top. Always use armpit roll on too.
Take the exercise to build stamina seriously as some stupid broncos might wanna "fall your hand" cos of your height,so you gotta have the stamina and strength to make a good example of any eddioot like i did.
@ 19 you be still very young.

Most importantly,you stand out cos of your height so also make sure you stand out academically,the girls will flock around ya

happened to me in Nigeria alot. In the markets some will think i’m a pick pocketer( if that word exists). In the malls, when i used to use public transportation to work. It happened. Its not about race, they had not seen my skin colour before they got scared. My fast walking and towering figure/shadow made them scared lol.

Its normal for teenagers to feel self conscious and awkward about themselves, whether they are tall or of average height.

You are in the above phase, but as you grow into adulthood, you will become more comfortable with yourself and your physique.

Even if you are slender now, don't worry about it as you will definitely add weight and look more handsome once you are working and taking good care of yourself.

I remember how I was the butt of jokes among my sisters when I was still at the University back then as I was quite slender; now when I look back at those university pictures, I can't help laughing as I have really added flesh in the right places and looking better for it.

All creature comforts are made to fit the normal (i.e. average) demographic.

In the case of height, it will be nigh impossible to get a lot of things off-the-shelf if you're either too tall or too short, from clothes to shoes to beds/mattresses to things we all take for granted like toilet seats and shower heads!

Most things need to be specially made/bespoke, for you to enjoy them.

Still, too tall is waaaay better than being a dwarf or hobbit type of person.

However, it's the health issues that are scary. There's a reason why most really old people are "little, old men" or "little old ladies".

As a person of average income and average daily activity, it's better to have a compact body than too long or too short. The extremes both have their issues.

I'm 5-11 and sometimes, as I hit middle age, I wish I was smaller than I am. Young people enjoying their height, wait till you hit 50 and above......and pray you don't gain any weight.

You will enjoy it as you grow older. Age makes a lot of things better:

1. Being tall
2. Unable to add weight
3. Being quiet
4. Being a book smart
Etc

Most things teenagers are embarrassed of turn to blessings as they grow older..

Don't let anybody make you feel any low about your height! I used to wish I was average height until I started doing sports! It was then I realized why God made me tall... You're good to go bro
