There was this post I dropped into a Facebook group some days ago thus;

"Many people calling themselves car DEALERS are actually car SELLERS!!!"

but most got pissed.

A car seller sells cars.

Simple and short

A car dealer and a car seller are supposed to mean the same thing, but due to advent of social media and online selling ads, and others, it now means different thing, a car seller is the actual person that deals with the sales of the cars, while car dealers now majorly serve as middle men or second party agent that helps sells those cars for the actual car sellers and they do get commission fees for each of the car sold successfully by them.
