| Re: Few Pics From Imo State by NwekereNdokl: 4:21pm On Dec 13, 2023 |
Imo is a fantastically failed state. Look at the debt profile of imo state and still yet no significant infrastructure to show for it, no decent city, no decent airport, no decent flyover, etc, what did imo do with these monies ? Ttipsy:

| Re: Few Pics From Imo State by Ofodirinwa: 4:35pm On Dec 13, 2023 |
Despacito1:While yes, Imo is richer than Anambra, IGR is not a good measure of success. If someone i selling garri in State A and someone is selling Garri in state B, and they make exactly N5000. If state B taxes the person at 80% and state A taxes as 5%, state B will have 'higher IGR'. SW states started the trend of using tax revenue to prove they are 'working' and they are triple taxing themselves to death. Anambra deliberately keeps taxes low and I believe all SE states should do the same. IGR is not a measure of wealth, please don't contribute to the trend before it's too late. |

NwekereNdokl:If Lagos , rivers , akwa-ibom and all other super states doing well are on the list, I am happy we made the list because it means borrow to develop and not the other way round. Peter Obi stacked money in the bank and don't borrow to work while everything in Anambra state is begging for money 🤣🤣.... Your argument holds no drop of water. |
| Re: Few Pics From Imo State by NwekereNdokl: 4:37pm On Dec 13, 2023 |
Mumu hahaha Show us verifiable link and not oluwole. What I showed you is a verified link known by everyone. Imo state is cursed. Look at your debt , your empty budget is depending on debt and borrowing hahaha Ozodimgba the 419 kingpin go show una shege with looting while imo state is in a mess hahaha Despacito1: |
| Re: Few Pics From Imo State by Despacito1: 4:39pm On Dec 13, 2023 |
Ofodirinwa:if you don't tax then where will you get finance to carry out governance? Perhaps you must have tax payers and investments you will tax which imo has, not 2 by 2 shops of poor traders in ochanja. Who told you buying and selling contributes to IGR? |
| Re: Few Pics From Imo State by NwekereNdokl: 4:40pm On Dec 13, 2023 |
Ikengawo your smartness is for dumb people. Anambra is by far richer and more developed than imo state. Most imo indigenes are trooping to Anambra for greener pasture while no one from Anambra is going to imo state, it shows where the wealth is located. Imo state should build their economy to attract even their own indigenes to invest because most imo indigenes prefer to invest in Anambra Ofodirinwa: |

NwekereNdokl:Yeah, Imo State is richer than Anambra, it's a fact lol. I'm also trying to get this thread to have more posts than the Anambra thread so don't think your presence is unwelcomed, so long as you follow Nairaland rules. | Re: Few Pics From Imo State by NwekereNdokl: 4:44pm On Dec 13, 2023 |
Lagos, Rivers, Anambra, Kano and Delta states are the top most economically via states in Nigeria. Imo state is a useless worthless state full with poor people, poor civil servants, prostitutes, brothels, etc Hahahaha Despacito1: |
| Re: Few Pics From Imo State by NwekereNdokl: 4:46pm On Dec 13, 2023 |
Yea Ikengawo, Anambra is richer than imo state by far. Anambra has the largest economy in igboland. Anambra has the largest industrial base in igboland. Please mention one thing imo state can boast of except commercial sex hawking and brothels. If you say you are richer tell us how Mumu hahaha Ofodirinwa: |
| Re: Few Pics From Imo State by NwekereNdokl: 4:48pm On Dec 13, 2023 |
Imo is a useless worthless state with nothing to show hahaha |
| Re: Few Pics From Imo State by NwekereNdokl: 4:52pm On Dec 13, 2023 |
Ikengawo look at the authentic data released by NBS and not the Wikipedia you are posting. Anambra is top five in Nigeria. That’s why most imo indigenes prefer to live in Anambra hahaha
|
| Re: Few Pics From Imo State by Ofodirinwa: 4:52pm On Dec 13, 2023 |
NwekereNdokl:lol no it's not. Rivers is the largest economy in Igboland, after Rivers it's Imo then Delta then Anambra. |
| Re: Few Pics From Imo State by NwekereNdokl: 4:53pm On Dec 13, 2023 |
Imo state has so much debt with almost nothing on ground to show as development. Dirty glorified state capital, dilapidated infrastructures, poverty, unemployment, etc
|
| Re: Few Pics From Imo State by Ofodirinwa: 4:55pm On Dec 13, 2023 |
NwekereNdokl:lol this is embarassing. even in this picture you posted, the bottom, in red says it has not counted Imo and Lagos among others. So by your logic either Lagos is below Zamafara or is not a part of Nigeria.
|
| Re: Few Pics From Imo State by NwekereNdokl: 4:55pm On Dec 13, 2023 |
lol . Anambra is the largest economy of the five Igbo states. Imo state is least in igboland because ebonyi has overtaken it. Imo state has nothing to boast of anymore. Check educational stats, check unemployment, check ease of doing business, etc. imo state is cursed Ofodirinwa: |
| Re: Few Pics From Imo State by Ofodirinwa: 4:59pm On Dec 13, 2023 |
By all statistics (2020-2023 NBS) Imo State is the 4th richest state in Nigeria. We're just quieter online so I understand your confusion.
|
| Re: Few Pics From Imo State by Ofodirinwa: 5:00pm On Dec 13, 2023 |
NwekereNdokl:Imo is #2 in Nigeria in Education lol Maybe Ebonyi is #1, let me check
|
| Re: Few Pics From Imo State by NwekereNdokl: 5:00pm On Dec 13, 2023 |
What’s embarrassing here Biko? This data was released by NBS and it is so far authentic source of data in Nigeria. Ok let’s face it, even without the data, is it even remotely possible that a pauper state like imo that’s dominated by poorly paid civil servants is richer than Anambra that has most of the industrial complexes in igboland, largest trading center in igboland, largest human resource in igboland, etc, this is not a debate you can win hahaha Ofodirinwa: |
| Re: Few Pics From Imo State by NwekereNdokl: 5:04pm On Dec 13, 2023 |
You people are not quiet, you became quiet when I decided to return first to you guys. Here’s the confirmed GDP released by NBS. Anambra is by far the biggest economy in igboland. Outside government of imo state, mention another large employer of labour in imo state, almost none. You are running economy powered by federal allocation while Anambra is being run by private sector. Have you seen why most imo indigenes are running to Anambra mumu Ofodirinwa: |
| Re: Few Pics From Imo State by Ofodirinwa: 5:06pm On Dec 13, 2023 |
Ok I found more updated statistics for education 1. Abia 2. Anamba 3. Edo 4. Rivers 5. Imo https://schoolnews.com.ng/most-educated-states-nigeria/ Congrats Chino lol. Bro how is Canada? |
| Re: Few Pics From Imo State by NwekereNdokl: 5:07pm On Dec 13, 2023 |
Mumu check all the educational achievements in the last ten years, it has always been Anambra. Check WAEC, NECO, domestic and international academic awards it has always been Anambra. Imo state has lost everything Ofodirinwa: |
| Re: Few Pics From Imo State by NwekereNdokl: 5:08pm On Dec 13, 2023 |
Why not put Imo in number one. I won’t concede until you make imo state number one. This argument and dragging must continue until you guys learn Ofodirinwa: |
| Re: Few Pics From Imo State by Ofodirinwa: 5:10pm On Dec 13, 2023 |
NwekereNdokl:Imo produces more oil than Anambra, refines more oil than Anambra, has a better service sector, financial sector, hospitality, #4 business airport in Nigeria (and it's not even international),
|
| Re: Few Pics From Imo State by Despacito1: 5:12pm On Dec 13, 2023 |
NwekereNdokl:By the time Waltersmith refinery, NNPC refinery etc, orange drugs Industrial companies etc commence work fully in the quarter of next year, our IGR will be ranging to 10billion monthly and Budget will definitely surpass yours thrice.. Hotel's contribute to economy too, only the hotel in Owerri can generate what the whole market in your state can monthly. Calm down you're always welcome here to see and cry to counsel yourself 🤣🤣 |
| Re: Few Pics From Imo State by NwekereNdokl: 5:16pm On Dec 13, 2023 |
It has always been oil and oil meanwhile there’s no major oil company in imo employing people because imo people are still running to Anambra for greener pastures, why ? lol Again don’t mistake commercial sex ring as hospitality, imo has the largest unemployment in southern Nigeria. You need to do your research to understand that hospitality doesn’t begin and end in brothels like in Owerri. As for financial sector, Onitsha alone has thrice the number of banks in imo state as a whole. Right now the newly built Anambra international airport is the busiest in igboland. Imo is a useless worthless state with nothing to offer Ofodirinwa:Pictures: imo motorpark airport
