Imo is a fantastically failed state. Look at the debt profile of imo state and still yet no significant infrastructure to show for it, no decent city, no decent airport, no decent flyover, etc, what did imo do with these monies ?

While yes, Imo is richer than Anambra, IGR is not a good measure of success. If someone i selling garri in State A and someone is selling Garri in state B, and they make exactly N5000. If state B taxes the person at 80% and state A taxes as 5%, state B will have 'higher IGR'.

SW states started the trend of using tax revenue to prove they are 'working' and they are triple taxing themselves to death. Anambra deliberately keeps taxes low and I believe all SE states should do the same.

IGR is not a measure of wealth, please don't contribute to the trend before it's too late.

By the time Waltersmith refinery, NNPC refinery etc, orange drugs Industrial companies etc commence work fully in the quarter of next year, our IGR will be ranging to 10billion monthly and Budget will definitely surpass yours thrice..

Hotel's contribute to economy too, only the hotel in Owerri can generate what the whole market in your state can monthly.
