NIGERIANS beyond Bayelsa State and the Ijaw Nation have continued to applaud the maturity and leadership of former Governor Henry Seriake Dickson, now a Senator, in managing the transitions in Bayelsa different from the tensions that they have raised between former Governors and their successors in other places. He has been exceptional and exemplary.https://dailypost.ng/2023/12/13/ikeddy-isiguzo-all-hail-the-ofuruma-pepe-nigerians-applaud-sen-dicksons-leadership/

"In a world where there are no Rules, no one is Safe". The Honour of a Man is to stick to His words (promise) and never to attempt destroying those who raised you up. We all must realize that we need one another and we should Lord over those below us or those we helped up. #Merry Christmas in Advance |

Bayelsa has been blessed with humble leaders as elder statesmen. They behave totally different from other South South States. Outside the period of militancy which they were highly involved in, peace has been reigning in the political environment since the days of GEJ. |

Koralords:Oga what you people do not know is that to construct 10km of road in Bayelsa is equivalent of about 200km in Kano. In Kano and arid region, all you need is to bulldoze the land, which already has a seeming concrete foundation. In Bayelsa every road must be built as if you are building a raft foundation, and every 4-5kms you need a bridge. So, cut the crap about what you do not know. |

OP please tell us about infrastructures in Bayelsa. What has government done to deal with poverty. Bayelsa as a small state has produced a President who served for 8 years; a minister of state for petroleum; with one of the highest allocations from the center, yet in all its years as a state, remains backward. We must not eulogize politicians who get into positions of power to serve personal interest. The primary reason for all the agitations is poverty. What’s the government doing about food security? What’s happening to the roads? What’s happening in the health sector? Can the people access health facilities at reasonable costs and with ease? These are things we need to hear. We have heard more than enough of politics, politicians and political parties please. |

Validated:As far as it's PDP or LP, you'll surely spring up excuses to defend them. So your hate is actually about APC as a party, not what it can offer. Is development all about road construction?? Even if it's the only thing a governor has to offer, why should you give excuses as to why it's difficult for Bayelsa govs to construct roads?? |

Praising a failed politician. This is part of Nigeria's problem. For chikinny money, a writer will praise a bad politician as if he is the best thing ever! Namasobiri! |

snowwhyte607:Cross River was not mentioned but for the others it is because you don't know anything or maybe trying to be mischievous. You don't know Arogbo people in Ondo state are Ijaws that has produced deputy governors there and other illustrious sons including Kingsley Kuku and former deputy governor Agboola Ajayi. There is Agadagba of Arogbo Ijaw that every Ondo governor pay homage to as a mark of respect, Ibeno in Akwa Ibom, and as for Edo state...you must be naive to even suggest that, Egbema Kingdom is balkanized into Edo and Delta States with over 200 communities in Edo State. Even the Oba of Benin does not go beyond the confines of his four local governments to include Ijaw areas like Egbema, Furupagha, Olodiama, Gbaraun, Okomu etc it is Ijaws that's why Edo is an oil producing state |

ReubenE:U go explain tire! 🤣🤣🤣 Stop claiming what is not yours to avoid stories that touch. For the records, Ijaws are only indigenous to Bayelsa, a small fraction of them are found in Delta and Rivers States. That's all |
