They are Ikwerre.

Many tribes in Nigeria are like the Ikwerre, culturally influenced by the neighbouring big tribe.

An example are the Ogorri of Kogi state. The Ogorri have their own language and customs...yet many of them bear Yourba names..and can speak Yourba.

(Am aware of the great 'Are Ikwerere Igbos? debate...so don';t go there ).
