biafraisdead? It can only be dead in the mind of a primitive greedy Owerri folk; because Imo state was transformed into becoming Owerri by circumstances created by Owerri people at the beginning of Imo state from 1976 till 1999.

You sell a plot of native land in Owerri and become instant millionaire. More than 90% of federal allocations to Imo state and its 27 LGAs circulate in your Owerri. You don't give a rat fcuck about any other place in Imo state outside Owerri. Abia, Ebonyi, Akwa Ibom, Enugu, Anambra states - - these states have multiple cities maintained by the state govt. In Imo state, you people with your Owerri, authored the crumbling of all the once developing cities outside Owerri in Imo state.

Let your Owerri zone continue with its Egbu and other Declarations aimed at excluding Orlu and Okigwe zones from hosting government development projects and modern development in Imo state. At one point, angry folks will start to take out those factors that enable Owerri remain the only place for modern development in Imo state. Indegenes of Owerri zone have more common identity with people of Ikwerre in Rivers State; than with people in Orlu and Okigwe zones.
That's why in Imo state, Owerri seized and continues to seize, every government establishments for Owerri area, develop into many modern Owerri cities, but never care about the two other zones mistakenly lumped into one Imo state with Owerri zone. Strangers in one state.

when you come to Nigeria it’s either Lagos or Abuja. One would ask why Is federal government spending so huge to build this cities.

Owerri is fast developed when compared to other part of Imo due to capital status. Just like port harcourt, and other states with vast developed state capital.
Orlu or Okigwe is just lacking road infrastructure and maintenance.
I am not saying they are not developing at their own pace, only what they lack is road infrastructure of which hope uzodimma is trying to rebuild. There are major road works in orlu and other parts of Town.
I don’t know if my response is helpful?

Below are road works in Orlu currently.

Owerri and the other state capitals in Nigeria would crumble in one year if only Abuja and Lagos are what government faces.
In Imo state, Owerri is the only thing. Foul play.

But federal government remits the allocations of state governments and local government areas to all the states. Allocations to Imo state and its LGAs are cornered for modern development of only Owerri. Why?

I am in Orlu Municipal LGA right now, the 2nd largest urban area in Imo state. Please label the names of the Orlu roads you posted.

Federal government has NEVER built only Lagos and Abuja but ignored Owerri and the other cities in Nigeria. Never.
In Imo state, Imo state builds Owerri but abandons Orlu and Okigwe to crumble. Don't hesitate to label the roads you pasted here if you are not on misleading mission.

I’m trying to make you understand why Owerri seems more developed when compared to other places in imo state.
Same way Lagos and Abuja is more developed when compared to other places in Nigeria

Lagos and Abuja more developed than the other cities of Nigeria is quite different from Owerri developed into many new cities, while Orlu and Okigwe go down. Orlu and Okigwe were nearly on the same level of urban development with Owerri in 1976.

Asaba is the capital of Delta State, for example. But Warri, Asaba, Arbor, Ughelli, are developing on the same pace.
Because in Delta state right from beginning, development institutions and establishments of government were spread across the zones of Delta state. Owerri seized every government establishments and institutions in Imo State for Owerri zone alone.

Owerri, Orlu and okigwe are glorified villages no wonder most indigenes are all running to more developed cities in the region like Onitsha imo , Enugu, Awka and Asaba to live and imvest. Imo is yet to have a befitting township for imo indigenes to live in

This is a junction in Ebonyi state near Abakaliki.
Abakaliki was a little town compared to Orlu when Ebonyi state was created; but creation of proposed and equalising Njaba State for Orlu zone was denied, partly because Owerri people said "you can't create Njaba State to kill existing Imo state."
Thereafter, because Owerri is capital of Imo state, Owerri colonised Imo state till today through every governor. Owerri never allows any other part of Imo state nuo mmiri togbo iko. Owerri wants every good thing for Imo state to be in Owerri.

There are even better spots than this in Ebonyi state.

In Imo, Owerri gatecrashed Ohakim and Okorocha to build flyovers in Owerri. Owerri condemned the flyovers after built; insulted the governors. Owerri people believe that flyovers make a city; believe that having all federal government housing estates exclusively in Owerri makes Owerri a city.
Owerri clapped as Okorocha was building tunnel in Owerri where there was no hill. Tunnel completed. Owerri condemned it.
Money wasted. When the flyovers and tunnel were being built, floods from uncompleted and uncomplicated urban drainage project in Orlu were drowning human beings and carrying away houses.
