babasolution: The British left in 1960 It was Lord Lugard and the British who founded and built Enugu and Umuahia yet you still claim it as yours Awolowo ruled more that 95% of Lagos State Have you ever Heard of Gov Jakande Before? He and Awolowo far outdid the FG by a huge Margin It was Babangida who was the President that invested most in Lagos by building the 3rd Mainland Bridge but you must Remember that all Major Bridges in Nigeria are built by the FG including all the ones over River Niger 5 Likes |

Christistruth03: Babangida only completed the third mainland Bridge, all previous governments invested in Lagos including Obasanjo who built Festac and trade fair Awolowo reign as Western region premeir was short,when the military governments took over,Lagos was funded from FG ,even during jakande tenure prior to that British government had started developing Lagos as against other regions/ states |

Christistruth03: It was Lagos state the seat of government was just in Lagos island, exactly like the FCT,were the seat of government is in Abuja central but the capital extends to all areas over the FCT |

Christistruth03: It seems though that Most of you people arguing didn't grow up in Lagos,since after military governments took over in 1966 the whole of Lagos was administered under the FG as capital although Lagos still had a military governor exactly like the FCT minister. |

Akinomoakin021: Under which local government was Festac Town in, way back in 1976? I asked because building that town was a Federal Government project and my father's block factory operating on a 24hrs production shift rotations by his Ghanian workers, was a key supplier of blocks used in the building of the town. |

Mindlog: Don't mind them by 1976 the whole of LAGOS was capital under the military governments, they are are talking of Western region that ended in 1966 ,prior to 1966 most of Lagos was an underdeveloped village, it was the military governments that mainly developed LAGOS not even the British, not to talk of the regional government |

babasolution: Lagos Island was the Capital Not Lagos State Look at Sanwo Olu of Lagos State He was a far more effective Governor than Buhari was a president And your yourselves know it Fasola was more Effective than Goodluck Jonathan and Yaradua Be honest with yourself Jakande and President Shagari couldn’t even be compared Jakande was at least 20 times more effective than Shagari as a Leader Even Ambode that was removed was commissioning over 20 new roads in a single day |

babasolution: Below is what the Nigerian Inland Waterways Authority released, so if the Warri port was fully functional and it being nearer to Onitsha, with barges ferrying those 65% of containers from Warri port where it landed from different parts of the world to Onitsha, why would any South eastern based business import through Lagos?

forgiveness: Stop spreading false hood,the British did not develop Nigeria, however all the places they invested in was from the resources of those places,you people don't know LAGOS sha,Lagos was mostly undeveloped until the military governments kick started the development, they didn't even go far,Lagos only started developing significantly only recently |
