Christmas Explained. by Originakalokalo(m): 1:54pm On Dec 23, 2023
It promises to be an interesting series.

Let's start from the root.

Why the birth of Jesus?

The two main religion agreed that Mary conceived without intercourse of man and woman.

Why is that?

We shall see these answers as we go on.

Let's start from the old testament:

“For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls:

for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.”
— Leviticus 17:11.

As at this time, the entire Israel sacrifice animals on altar. The blood of the animal atone for their sins. As at this time, they were dealing with God the father, who is only known to Israel and surrounding nations.

The gentiles were kept out. All in their sins, engulfed in idolatry.

Do not forget where we started from: God permitted the blood of animals to atone for the sins of the children of Israel.

Else, he cannot mingle with them as a Holy God.

The problem in this arrangement are as follows:

1. A priest was in charge of performing the sacrifice for the entire nation.

Priests perform various individual sacrifices.

If the entire world will be forgiven of their sins, then everyone must go to Jerusalem with animals for atonement. Imagine this for a second.

2. The blood of animals was permitted to cover Israelites sin. The blood of animals cannot cleanse the sins of man.

Now, let me explain the part of Jesus as the son of God who takes away the sins of the world: Then we shall see the atonement for Sins through the blood of the lamb.

God the Father is invincible:

“No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.”
— John 1:18 (KJV)

Listen well, anyone who saw "God" in old testament actually saw Jesus.

The father is simply invincible. On his throne in heaven is Glory. Not anyone in flesh.

Jesus is the visible form of God the father.

See this:

John 14 (KJV)
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
⁸ Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us.

⁹ Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip?

he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?

“For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.”
— Colossians 2:9 (KJV)

....All the fullness of God appear in physical form, seen in Jesus.

The father is greater than the son. Note this please.

Now, do not forget where we started.

Humans (Not only Israel now) need a pure blood for atonement.

We all around the world cannot travel to Jerusalem with animals for atonement( just imagine this for a second)....and God had it in mind to extend fellowship to all human race. He cannot do that unless our sins that separate us from his is taken care of...... Because he is a Holy God.

Now, the Son, or the physical image of God reincarnated and was placed in the womb of Mary.

Why?

If Jesus was reincarnated through the intercourse of Mary and Joseph, HE WILL INHERIT THE SIN IN THE BLOOD OF HUMANS.

God was not trying to show off by not allowing their intercourse to produce Jesus im the flesh....

God wanted a pure blood....and that is why he place Jesus in the womb without intercourse.

A record of a virgin getting pregnant is also in the Quran.

Now, we have a universal blood for the atonement of the sins of humans across the globe.

See what happened when Jesus died on the cross:

Matthew 27 (KJV)
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
⁵⁰ Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.

⁵¹ And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;

Notice the way the veil was torn?

From top to bottom.....Not by man.

Also, the veil separated the high priest who is using animals blood to atone for the sins of Israelites. The place covered was called the holy of holies.

You dare not enter there with sin. You will drop dead.

Even the high priest had a bell attached with chain on his ankle. If during the atonement, they are hearing the sound of the bell, it means he is still alive,.else, they will know he is dead and draw him out of the place with the chain.

No one dare enter.

With the veil torn, everyone now has access to the father by the blood of the lamb.

Let me ask a serious question at this juncture....

Why did you think Jesus was born in a manger?

Look at this:

John the Baptist said...

"Behold the lamb of God which taketh away the sins of the world"

He was born where lambs were born....

Do the maths....

You don't expect lambs to be in a hotel. They are in a manger.

The son of God who is the lamb of God was born in a manger.

Hallelujah.

Summary? The blood of Jesus is the universal blood through which mankind gets forgiveness of sins.

This is the reason for his birth in the first place.

...if you do not identify with the blood, your sins remain.

We have a lot to learn.

It is time to celebrate God's goodwill towards mankind.

Merry Christmas to all mankind....see this:

“To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.”
— Acts 10:43 (KJV)

You managed to explain why the Messiah had to come in the flesh and die, but you could not explain Christmas scripturally. You know why? It is because it can't be backed up scripturally. It is of pagan origin and will remain so. Besides, no where in the Scriptures did the Messiah instruct anyone to celebrate his birthday.

I celebrate the birth of Jesus. I celebrate his death and resurrection. I celebrate salvation to mankind.

Christmas is more than the birth of Jesus Christ alone. It is indeed a moment of great joy to the world.

The reason Jesus was born is to stand in the gap between God and man.

It looks s God reaching out to man.

Without the blood of the lamb, your sins are not forgiven.

Accept the gift of Jesus into your life....

Believe, get baptized and follow him.

He will guarantee your eternal life.
