Ibadan is the 2nd largest city in landmass after Lagos but the largest contiguous housing development is Igbo heartland comprising Owerri to Onitsha and Awka. It is way bigger than Lagos but cannot be considered one city except a new constitution is drafted merging and recognizing them as one city .

Besides the Igbo heartland sprawl there is another sprawl around Nsukka that is the size of Port Harcourt which could be recognized as a single city.

Is this a recent development?

One appalling thing about you guys is your shameful attitude of lying to yourselves and also believing your nonsense.

Ibadan is nothing but the world's largest slum. It's not fit for human habitation.

If you like deceive yourself from now till tomorrow, anyone that knows Ibadan knows that over 90% of its people live in shanties. With rickety small buses and okada everywhere.

Most people in Ibadan have never lived in a modern house with internal plumbing. They make use of Wells and outhouse general toilet. That's why things are relatively cheap there because of abysmally low purchasing power of the people.

What's your reason for saying this?
Any thing to back up this claim?

This list is made by the Lagos/Ibadan ewedu press. We all know by urban settlement, Onitsha is larger than New York. How come this list is showing it as being smaller than Lagos and Ibadan, when we all know it's bigger than both of them combined?
