Simply because they are the ones that travel out of their region the most. So, December is the period they travel back.

It shows there is a region that is not livable to its people, they have to run helter shelter across other regions to make money. During the Christmas, they go back home to brag to those who never had the got to travel. Many of them will borrow cars to show off, spent money like they have really made it. In the end, they will return back to their businesses where goods and drugs they buy are located.

Next December period, they simply repeat...

The most densely populated region in Nigeria isn't viable?
Region with the highest indigenous industries.
Largest markets in West Africa.
Most resilient city , Enugu is in the East.
Two of its states are among the 6 Nigerian states with the highest volume of cash volumes in the country.

How educated are you?

The land mass of 5 ibo states is less than that of Oyo and you have like 60 million people or so trying to fit in. Don't be too excited, iboland is too tiny.

Because they are majorly Christians, the Jews among them are not that much. But will eventually dominate the Christians. It's a matter of time. grin

Where did you get your information and stats from?
I guess from Kanu's yansh abi. grin

If the hike in Air transport to Southeast states is the reason you feel this way, let me help you with some understanding.

It is common knowledge most igbos dont stay in their region compared to other tribes.
So its this period all of them start rushing back home.

Igbos control Nigerian economy . Igbos lead while others follow…more like being spectators to igbos in real life Nigeria. The jealous and bitter ones go online to pour their frustrations on igbos but igbos being what they are see it as mere online entertainment and enjoy it because they know or common sense knows it’s veiled inferiority complex and admission of subjugation of their lives to igbos in real life…the worse is that while igbos are balling they don’t care about their frustrations because igbos are very proud people, snobbish and loud which is the part I don’t like

Watch as Yorubaa will attack you for putting Rivers, Akwa Ibom and Cross River in SE. They already did above. I've told my Easterners, Yorubaa are our problem, not even Northerners.

Other tribes know truthfully, all these former Eastern Region states are one people, same culture, food and even physical resemblance. All of them look nothing like Yorubaa and Northerners.

Make an Ibibio or Annang man with flat head like Igbo people and light skin catch you referring to him as brothers to Yaribba.

Most of you Yaribba don't know you look different from Easterners. Have you not looked yourself in the mirror? You look like Senegalese and South Sudanese. Easterners don't look like that and we know you people are not one of us. Go and find your brothers in Benin Republic, South Sudan, Togo and Senegal.

For your information, Adenkunle murdered over over 100k Ibibio men during the war. When they asked him why he did it. He said "they are all Igbo people "

Normadic vagabonds have to go to far away fertile lands scavenging for goods to survive.
Same way the sons of Jacob went to Egypt to get food because there was famine in their land.
