To those who are saying Nigeria is ill-capable. Let me burst your bubble. Nigeria has the largest gas reserve of gas. A 120 trillion gas cubic meter of discovered gas and a potential discovery of 600 trillion cubic meter of Gas. That's unmatched in Africa. Even Algeria, our closest rival in gas reserves don't even come close. Nigeria has the capacity to supply the West African region with Gas for industries hence she built the West African Gas Pipeline (WAGP) which is currently being redoubled in capacity to meet growing needs. Also we have the NLNG that is supplying Nigeria with about 45% of her gas needs. It is also worthy to note that with the completion of the Dangote Refinery, Nigeria has met 100% of gas needs because that refinery has a part of it that's designed to supply LPG to the Nigerian market and beyond. Nigeria has unmatched reserves of gas from the Anambra basin in Anambra all the way down to the Niger-delta and the offshore region. You should be expecting to see contracts like this because The FG has declared this decade as the "Decade of Gas." This initiative has long been in the works since the administration of GEJ and successors after him. NNPC has been pioneering, supporting and making significant investment in too many gas initiatives like the OB3 pipeline, the AKK Pipeline for the northern region and the ANOH gas project being done by Shell, Seplat and NNPC in the Imo Basin. |

Haydens:Did you do basic Economics at any point in your life at all? Cost of Gas have factors taken into consideration before price is arrived at. This is not governed by demand and supply but by cost of production…. Lemme stop there. |
