I have been wondering... How come there aren't enough security agents to safeguard most average Nigerians, but more than enough for those in the wealthy and elite class??!

Imagine a non-government official being guarded and escorted by Policemen and soldiers who are never available when the common citizens need them.

A simple instance... Would the attack on those poor citizens in Plateau have happened if a wealthy and well-connected citizen had visited or resided there??! Food for thought!

This means in Nigeria, adequate security, power supply, and healthcare are not for average citizens.

This reminds me of one of my very stupid and the most foolish uncle who returned from abroad and packed 20 Police Special Forces to protect him throughout December 2022.

Not only that, that was the first time in my life I handled Pump Action gun and learned how to shoot.

He doesn't need to announce anything... No wealthy man in most Nigerian states outside Lagos and Abuja moves around without tight security.

Imagine a nation where people who claim to be wealthy can't walk or move around freely, even in their home states.

Most wealthy people abroad don't need this level of security detail... It's mostly the celebrities that move with bodyguards, and they are more for crowd control than actual protection against insecurity.

We claim to be prosperous but have to pay the ultimate price of giving up our freedom of movement due to widespread insecurity.

The wealthy guys who can move without security in Nigeria are those who are smart enough not to flaunt it.

All top celebrities move around with security personnel as a status symbol, besides security matters. The inordinate allocation of security men had been an issue since 1960 everywhere. Even ordinary Yahoo boys do that these days, so you'd have to be more specific.😒
