In Nigeria people don't tell themselves the truth because of cheap cash from crude oil.
Truth is:
1) Amotekun is unconstitutional.
2) in any sovereign country where any region in the country establishes a militia like Amotekun to ward off, or hunt for unwanted people from other regions of the country, there is no basis for the country to remain one.

It's a controlled publication. They will not tell you other narratives of Amotekun personnel that lost their lives or the number of herdsmen they've killed and buried without trace in d forests.

This is just a shallow story. Most will surely be classified.

I still dont rate Amotekun highly. I consider them average.

If late Rotimi Akeredolu didn't stand up to those bullies, the SW would have been like the North. But he did with support from omoluabi Govornors like Seyi Makinde and today we are better off.

But you see those Yoruba bastards especially those Ronu people. They condemned Amotekun and other non state actors like Sunday Igboho who stood up to the occasion.

They called Sunday all types of names. Because they didn't want to offend Buhari. Our people were killed yet Tinubu could only open his mouth and say "Where are the cows"

So when I see them only opening their useless mouths on SM doing Yoruba versus Igbo fight, I know they are nothing but cowards. Their penis gets an erection when it comes to online fights, but the offline and physical deaths, you see them going to hide.

Bunch of cowards

Today,It is only Lagos that has no single Amotekun force despite being a signatory to the force in Ibadan all because they don't want to offend their paymasters from the North

If tommorow, we are having State police, The SW region has one already that will just be upgraded.

The Punch should come and visit the Oyo state Amotekun force that is the most funded in the South West

Last time,Seyi makinde bought a 100 JAC trucks for them to enable them work better and gave 5Million each to families of late Amotekun officers

May the soul of Amotekun Field Marshall Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu continue to rest in peace

Amotekun/state government should’ve taken those cows. The owners would definitely come for them. If the herders weren’t part of the banditry which I doubt, government can still fine them for not herding and looking after their animals thereby allowing them to stray and destroy farmlands.
I think Amotekun didn’t get it right here. The herders of those cows knew what they were doing. They were hiding somewhere and watching the Amotekun people. The cows should’ve been confiscated till the owners come for them, then the state security would know exactly the principal actors behind the insecurity and violence in that area.

A lot actually ...

A lot that will be busy fighting the Igbo pending when the Fulani will kill them too as we have it in plateau

Mumu man, for how long will we the Yoruba keep fighting Igbo knowing fully well the real problem is Fulani

I remember clearly my secondary school (in Ijebu, Ogun state) been shut down because of activities of Fulani herdsmen, infact all school in the town were force to close due to fear of Fulani attack, this is long time before nairaland was even created, and the issue still occasionally persist

I'm a full Ijebu boy and can see through this Islamist-Fulani gimmick, there are more than 50 thousand ibo and south south people in my home town yet not even once have we have communal crisis, far less than a thousand Fulani and we have to close all school not once not twice

I didn't even know about this stupid Yoruba-igbo tribalism until I join nairaland despite been surrounded by people from south south and south east, this tribalism as far as I'm concerned only exists in our imagination

But you see that islamic-fulani terrorist, no matter how you white wash it it is what I experience, using cows to eat farmland, attacking a full street because cow was missing (last last cow was found in a ditch), forcing Olabisi Onabanjo University to hurriedly close down

This Fulani are not ready to integrate into any society, they have no value for their own life talkless of your own, and the funny thing is their leaders are solidly behind them while our own leaders are doing ibo-vs-yoruba

Wake me up when one single person is sentence to death for the death of all the people in plateau, Sunday igboho was pursued out of Nigeria by Buhari why Fulani herdsmen that kills villagers in oyo walk free

Open your eyes and see your true enemy, how many ibo/south south live close to you and how many physical communal clashes/death do you have

Igbos have attacked the Yorubas politically, socially, economically e.t.c.

Yorubas and igbos fought each other during the civil war..

the civil war was Yoruba vs Igbo war.

in the 1960s , nzeogwu exhibited such hatred towards Yorubas.

"According to a Nigerian Police Special Branch Report, nzeogwu executed at least 4 army and police security personnel including one of the men on his team (Sergeant Daramola Oyegoke). nzeogwu also participated in the execution of Col. Raph Shodeinde, his superior officer at the Nigerian Military Training College and is reported to have shot indiscriminately at fleeing women and children.."..

the statement above shows pure hatred for Yorubas and a lot of igbos all have this similar behavior towards Yorubas.

The igbos also tried to attack the SW but we're stopped at Ore.

Before the civil war, Nnamdi Azikwe was also fighting the Yorubas politically because he wanted to be premier of the Yoruba region.

Azikwe tried to politically get Lagos and the SW region.
Ojukwu tried to use warfare to get Lagos..
Peter Obi and CRV tried politically to get Lagos.

Over 60 years and counting only Igbos have targeted and are still targeting Lagos and Yorubas.

some people on this thread are already shouting "Lagos will fail" just because the governor is not igbo.

must igbos subjugate Yorubas before igbos have a sense of achievement

you igbos already have Rivers state, Delta state, Anambra states yet you are more concerned about the SW, the Yorubas and who is governor of Lagos.

2 petroleum producing states with seaports and airports yet you igbos are not happy that a place called Lagos is not under igbo control .

you are sick and have serious mental problems.

You didn't know of Yoruba - ibo tribalism until you joined Nairaland, yet you commented that the remaining farmers in SW villages are preoccupied with Ibos "pending when they will be attacked by the Fulanis." In one comment, you said something and contrasted yourself in another, a trait common to double livers and irritants. Continue fooling yourself. You are probably one of the confused products of intertribal marraige between the two tribes, with no clear picture of where your loyalty or commitment should lie. The SW will solve their problems without courting the attention of imps, impostors or bastards amongst us. Just like Amotekun is a regional initiative, first of it's kind in Nigeria, I expect more to follow in strategic, coordinated attempts to rid our SW communities of savage invaders once we have the real leaders and not opportunists of a corrupted stock. You lots, on the other hand, should continue with the propagation of hatred, confusion and misdirection.

Everyone will get what he deserves in time

Nonsense....the herdsmen still dey do their thing in Ose and Owo local government areas of the state. The Amotekun operatives are powerless in these areas. There are some forests in Ose and some areas in Owo local government that the Amotekun dare not enter. They can't combat those bush and evil herdsmen in these areas because of the kind of sophisticated weapons and arms these Herdsmen are carrying. Until they start carrying Ak47 and start being brutal, then they are just wasting their time. Imagine seeing 200 and 300 cows and still didn't do anything. They left the cows to continue damaging peoples crops and farmlands. They forgot that these Herdsmen uses juju and turn to cows most times. What is then the essence of going for the operation in the first place. This is why I like ESN. At the mention of ESN, those Herdsmen would run without looking back. Open fire on their cows and destroy anything that belongs to them including their motorcycles and tents. Give them madness and they will flee. Some of these Amotekun operatives should be given Ak47 rifles. It is possible. Some government approved Vigilantes in Anambra state now carry Ak47 under special supervision by the Police and the Government. If not, they are just wasting their time cos they can't fight those Herdsmen with Double-barrel and Pump action shotguns.

I don't understand why herdsmen will carry ak 47 and vigilante will carry pump action. Ifeanyi Ubah bought pump action in nnewi for vigilante to confront criminals. Now most of those guys dey avoid any confrontation where the other party releases 20 bullets in 10 seconds

H:erdsmen have been attacking Yorubas since the 1800s so most Yorubas who know Yoruba history already see F:ulanis as ter:rorists and fight them.

the igbos since 1960 have been attempting to take control of politics and economics of the SW either legally through elections or illegally through unrest and war.

God bless you Bro for your input. I am an Igbo man just as I said earlier in my post. But I live in the western part of the Country (Ondo state). There are many unreported deaths caused by these Fulani Herdsmen over here in Ondo state. Most times I would come to Nairaland without seeing any report of it. I would have made posts about them but don't want it to degenerate to a Yoruba-Igbo scuffle here cos most people here knows that I am Igbo and tribalism must be introduced to it. I wonder who told these Nairaland Yorubas (not offline Yorubas) that we Igbos are their problem. Have we ever killed any Yoruba in a communal clash before? Hell no. Can that be said about the Fulanis? Till date, they hate discussing about the Fulani menace in Yoruba land. I pray it won't be too late for them to realise their full enemies.
