Good morning and Happy New year to all honorable members of this platform. This year will favour all of us, and there will be a great turn around for good.


Dear compatriots,
This platform gave us opportunity to interact, it gives us opportunity for national discuss, one of the things that bring me to nairaland.com everyday is to read people's view on trending issues. Suddenly the platform changed and people began to attack each other and it degenerated to ethnic bashing.

Unfortunately, Nairaland.com leadership were making money through it and there was no need to stop it. Fast forward 2023 election came and it became uncontrollable. Recently there was a trend calling Government of Lagos state to look into a road in Ogba area of Lagos state and the next thing that came from the first to comment was to jump straight to Anambra State and begin to compare roads. And the next thing ethnic bashing started. And I know that Government who doesn't want to deliver in their duties will be happy for some of the ethnic bashing that happens here because it will make sure that we dont have a voice and once that happens, you can't checkmate the Government.

I have closed some interesting thread after first two comments because I have seen where they are going. Tribalism has eaten deep into us in Nairaland.com and there is need to tame it right now, if not our national discuss will be zero. It is getting to a place where no matter how good the topic of the discussion, the first thing we do is to look at the ethnic of the speaker and pass judgement.

Dear compatriots, we are not helping this country, our tribalism and ethnic bigotry is only here and on the street. Go to National Assembly, they are united, why? Because they must be united to loot our treasury, there must be unity for fraud to take place. Politicians understand this, they also understand the needs to cause disunity among us to keep us out of what is going on in the treasury.

There is need to put a full stop to whatever we are enjoyin in the tribal bigotry and ethnic bashing that happened on every thread here. 2024 will be good for us only if we can hold our politicians accountable. Sharing of rice and some thousands of Naira will not lift us out of poverty. People need to get jobs to be able to earn a living on their own.

Poverty doesn't know tribe, insecurity doesn’t recognized party members. So let's all hands be on desk to make all tribe in Nigeria count, either major or minor tribe, Nigeria comes first. I was going out one day at Odogunyan in Ikorodu, Lagos state and an Hausa guy hawking yam with wheel barrow by the road side, the guy pause to take some rest before continuing his trekking. A Kekenapep guy ran into the wheelbarrow while trying to reverse and the next thing the Keke guy came down and started slapping the guy and before u know it they are coming in numbers to beat the guy up. Not really that the mob saw what happened, that was not their main problem, their problem was this is our tribe against another tribe. It took intervention of myself and some other people that were watching to rescue the guy. I told the Keke guy that you were at fault, you were reversing and u did not see your back and you ran into his wheelbarrow. And the mob disappeared. I am not from any of the two tribe fighting anyway but am a Nigerian and they are both brother to me.

Nigeria will be great, let's kill bigotry and tribalism. I should be able to stay anywhere is Nigeria. I should be able to practice any religion in Nigeria. We can continue to deceive ourselves, our politicians practice all religions in the country. If you doubt me watch them during election and you will know what am saying.

Your religion is not better than other sir/ma, your tribe is not superior to another. Let's be fair to each other. Let love lead.
