A video trending online shows some Army Recruits from the Northern part of Nigeria Claiming To Be from the Southwest.

In the video, the recruits were asked to speak Yoruba But none could as they were not from the region. The surprising thing is that they all possess certificates of indegene from the Southwest.

This is a big disgrace on we Yorubas.. in as much as we criticize the Igbos, this will never happen for Northerners to be having their indigeneship certificates. They don't take things lightly as Yorubas do.

Yorubas need to wake up.. this docility and 'I don't care' lifestyle of our people won't take us anywhere.

It's Yorubas working in the L.G.As or L.C.D.As that issued those certificates to them in exchange for money.. whereas Yoruba sons and daughters are being denied opportunities to take up positions in the Army. That is the sad state we find ourselves in.

The documents are obviously FAKE! I'm surprised that you have quickly jumped into conclusions or would think that any official of Yoruba origin would give out such sensitive documents to non-indigenes because there is a quota for each state of Nigeria in military recruitments.

NO Yoruba personnel from Oshodi/Isolo LGA in Lagos State would give out such sensitive state of origin documents to any Hausa or non-indigenes (who don't even speak Yoruba language) without due diligence. We live in the age of digital color printing and more so these things can be done. These 2 impostors should be investigated further and promptly punished severely.

These 5 impostors from Kaduna State (5 of them are obviously Southern Kaduna indigenes with Christian or non-Muslim names as clearly stated in the video) should be investigated further and promptly punished severely.
