You can get the license from the commissioner of police. That is barrel guns. But the process is a bit cumbersome. But the license will be approved.
I will apply for it too.

The process is not cumbersome and you don't need to approach the commissioner of police before obtaining the said license. You can get licensed by the area commander in-charge of your area.

You can get it sorted in 3 days.

This is cool. I think this is long overdue.
All those trying to discourage the move have never experienced any attacks from this devilish terror groups. Take Plateau case for instance.

If there was such structure on ground, certain attacks would have been averted and lives saved.
Especially that of Jos case.
I fully supported this motion.

Civillians bearing arms is what Millitary dont want. Because they know that will balance the equation either with the millitary or bandits/terrorists. They still want the civillians to continue to die like chicken.

It's an indication of their incompetence. They feel threatened because of their operessive status of having privilege of having access to firearms.

The problem with Some Nigerians is that they know how to abuse anything that touch their hands, the other day it was fireworks some people were using as gun to catch fun. If the government should give such law that allows civilians to use gun, just have it in mind that such mass shootings that happens in USA will start happening here, honestly this issue requires lot of wisdoms.

Do be fooled, if you are caught with a gun, you will be treated as bandit. If what I'm saying is wrong, how come a community can't buy gun which is readily available on black market? If you have been to rivers state you will know gun is pure water.

You want nigerians to kill each other...in nigeria we normally have quarrels and misunderstanding among ourselves... husband and wife quarrel, boyfriend and girlfriend quarrel, neighbors quarrels, friends quarrel, politcal party supporters quarrel.. and with all of this nigerians owning guns they will use it to shoot each other over quarrels and misunderstanding

Falana should understand that talk is cheap
(1) Nigerian constitution guaranteed freedom of speech but does not guarantee freedom after speech
(2) Nigerian constitution guaranteed freedom of self defence but does not guarantee freedom after self defence
This is just because you have onerous of prove that you truly acted in self defence or that the speech you made have no infringement on the rights of anyone at the courts of law
