You are absolutely right but the fact is that nigerians already have the right to bear arms but the arms must be registered. Unfortunately there are a lot of illegal and unlicensed firearm flying around in d hands of criminals. So your fears have already been realised. Please, if someone goes outside and start shooting people on the street or students in school, what is it called? I know you want to show me that you are too good in English, that is why am asking you this question. Without being told, you should know that some people can abuse anything that touch their hands, is that the kind of people you want to have access to guns, imagine fireworks that was meant to be targeted upward is what some set of people where using as gun, now imagine when those set of people have access to gun, you should know how such story will end. I will rather support the creation of state police and vigilante, both should work together in conjunction with the federal police than allowing people to have access to gun, I think that will reduce insecurity.
