The reason why he got the support of the federal government was because the federal government has shamefully been unable to repair her refinery hence begging investors to come build refinery with alot of promises but many received licenses and only Dangote built one, so those waivers is more like pleading.
Tinubu and the Lagos state government should be thanked because they made it easier for dangote in Lagos

Nigeria 🇳🇬 FG never said dangote will pay in dollars. Dangote will only pay the naira equivalent. Its simple local economics because that's what is obtainable in Nigeria market. We don't spend dollars in Nigeria 🇳🇬. And that's a law. We must change our constitution in other to buy and sell in dollars locally

And Nigeria never demanded dollar payments from Dangote. Dangote will price the crude in dollars and pay the naira equivalent.

And the cost of transportation is what's called subsidy ( Nigeria use to pay for transportation) so now its automatic subsidy since cost of shipping which is also referred to as "The Landind cost" has been removed automatically since we now buy locally. So how won't that reduce the price of the products.

It does not work that way. Dangote is located in the Lekki Export Processing Zone, which permit him to charge his prices in Dollars without contravening the constitution.
Paying in Naira equivalent you said, it means Nigeria will pay the Naira value of the cost.
The landing Costs is the total cost of the product from purchase, freight (transportation), insurance and vat, what will reduce is freight and insurance only. Yes, the cost may reduce, but not substantially

If you were Dangote, would you sell fuel below N400?

Shey you know you have to pay workers salaries, maintenance costs, taxes, more taxes, community development, insurance, pay for crude at OPEC price in naira, etc...and there is nothing like government giving you money for all that (except for something called tax waivers, which don't last for long, and anyway, your workers still have to pay tax).

Orient is not producing because government subsidising petrol means the refinery would run at a loss

this entitlement mentality is annoying. Dangote would be foolish to sell below the market price. the role of government is to ensure fair competition and not price fixing.
