Underachiever ? What is your pedigree in African football ?! Is it because you managed to win the competition when you hosted it in 1996 or where exactly is that "underachiever" stuff is coming from ? You guys might be seeing yourselves and your football differently over there but trust me,other Africans, especially West Africans don't rate you when it comes to football.
Spain were perennial underachievers for many decades before finally fulfilling their potential around 2008.

South Africa is an underachiever because all the ingredients of being successful are there, even Eto'o alluded to the same thing before the tournament started

We've produced world class players before, meaning we have the capacity to do so. We have the facilities, we have the talent, we have a good league, but we're underachieving. The potential is there' we're simply not fulfilling it, that's what I mean by "underachieving"

Put your hate for my country aside when formulating an argument, it clouds your logic

I am full bloodied nigerian

You are 100% correct. Tribalism is rife here in nigeria

Imagine some kids bashing me here ,calling me a southAfrican for stating the obvious truth

If not for seun d owner of nairaland who made strict rules recently, any thread or topic posted here is always accosted with tribalistic tendencies. Even now, it still occurs

We nigerians are very tribalistic
Thank you for your honesty. This is exactly why I always laugh when it's Nigerians primarily who like talking about Xenophobia

You are certainly a fuul* who doesn't even know what he is talking about. Go the streets of lagos and Abuja and see how niggers roll...
At least we know of how you foools in SA kill yourselves till today, even your girls are running after the Nigerian guys, of cux you must defend your white lords because even your father cannot publicly bash them. They will severe his blokos. This is how bad racisms and tribalism is in your country. Xenophobia is another major problem you guys have.
.
Imagine no one is sensible enough in your country to make a forum like this you have to come to the Nigerian forum to cry over your loss grin cheesy cheesy cheesy very poor footballing nation, tribalism made them select an all black team, guys with zero skills. Look at the Nigerian national team how many northerners are there? even though northerners are close to 50% of the country's population.
.
Guy, go and lick your wounds, your country lost simple. Poor fvvls.
For one, South Africa is not a tribalistic country, yours is..

You claim we're "Xenophobic" in the same breath, "our girls are running after Nigerians" (which is not true btw) how does this happen since we're supposedly "Xenophobic"?

South Africa has forums like these ones. I prefer this one

Nobody's crying. I said we were going to lose this game because this team was weak., They still had Mali chasing shadows in the first half though

Nigeria is a hotbed of tribal hate. You can scream till you turn beige blue. we all know this

In Nigeria, people only insult and bash each other online, in the real life they respect each other and relate perfectly well. Look at our movie, comedy and music industry and use that as an example. This 'perceived tribalism' you keep shouting up and down is nothing compared to the real hatred between you black bingos and the white supremacists of SA.
.
So shut the fVcck up!
I'd rather hate white people than hate my own Black South African brethren. So please, don't insult my intelligence, I'm in the know

Is it possible to have unhindered communication when many people of separate background, orientation, etc., are lumped together but the level can't even be compared to what is experienced in your place.
Less for the fanatics ones, issues for no really dey.

Elders do say "You correct a kid indoors and not in the public where the offense is being committed."

Like I said you are not a Nigerian, I am sure of that. If not you will be in the know of this old ways the elderly ones and ancestors use(d) to correct the young ones(young ones here means those born from 1970 upward).
There is a saying that you don't join in killing your brother outside even if he did something wrong, you first keep them out of danger of the strangers/outsiders, then tell them the truth to his face when he is no longer in danger at the hands of the outsiders.
Think about "Brother's keeper" or the woman stained with blood being stoned in the Bible.

Like I said, you are dull you think anybody gives a F about your ranting?

Get the f out of my mention please, I don't have time for stew pead people.

Africa is backward today ,because the countries that ought be the shining light, hate themselves. South Africa is plagued by Xenophobia. That's the simple truth.
Nigerian is the birth place and nursing bed of tribal hate. Our country reeks of bigotry. There couldn't have been more hate in Sodom and Gommorah than that which is found in Nigeria. These are the simple truth and deep down,we all know it.

Gibberish ! If you feel I hate your country,do you like mine ? Perhaps you're the one that should put aside your childish emotions and face reality. How dare you compare yourselves to the Spaniards,on what basis is that ? How many FIFA organized competitions or any other major tournaments have you guys ever won - FIFA U 17,FIFA U20, Under 23 Olympic Football, etc, which one have you won ? You need to go and check Spain's records in all of these fifa organized competitions before you start comparing your country to Spain;there is no basis for such comparison!

I give it to you, your league is well organized and your facilities are world-class but other than that, trust me,your football is nothing to write home about ! You may be winning caf African champions league and all that on the continent but, take it or leave it,your football philosophy, the kick and run,is funny and won't take you anywhere at the world stage. It is not hate but the truth.

It will take a miracle for South Africa to win another afcon tittle, especially now that Nelson Mandela is late !
