MOBILE Checkpoints all around Abuja interior and mostly Abuja exit points.

It should be mobile, that way Kidnappers won't know where the Checkpoints will be at ANY time.

Also the ONLY duty of the Special teams is visual Check of occupants in the car and Boot inspection.

They must be trained in Visual inspection and body language.

They mustn't ask for no Particulars so as not to use it for Bribe purpose or cause traffic jams.

There must be another Covert group that will monitor the activities of this Special Kidnapping team.

Nigeria CANNOT win the Kidnapping war WITHOUT Checkpoints......PERIOD.

I am a former NY Police Officer of Nigeria Descent so I have a fluent understanding of this issue .

You're far off man. Checkpoints have nothing to do with the security threat posed by Fulani bandits.

These bastards emerge from the surrounding bushes or valleys, swoop on travellers or residents, and shepherd them, ON FOOT, back into the bushes. I don't know what checkpoints have to to with this.

In Aba, Police are the ones kidnapping people. RRS in Aba move around with sienna, no number plates, abducting innocent people.

Another Squad created which would be headed by someone who would lobby hard to head the 'Squad'.. because money would follow the new squad..

The problem of security in Nigeria won't be tackled from any squad formed at the Louis Edet House in Abuja or anywhere... it would involve taking security to the grassroot.. Get the Locals into the security fold.. Security funds should be domiciled at the Local Government(outside the Joint Account don't let the governors smell it) ... with active participation of Traditional Rulers.. Enforce the Local Hunters and Vigilante.. nobody would enter or pass through any community or forest with a strong Hunter and Vigilante Groups..
This is the time to strengthen the Forest Guards (give them good guns).

But no... the delusional people in leadership are forming Squad before the next episode of another big kidnapping.. the Kaduna Train incidence is still fresh in mind and not a single person has been held culpable for that sad incidence that happened in this nation..

The People don't deserve this..

You dont need any new Squad that would require additional budgetary allocations.. if you withdraw a third of your Mopol following big men up and down in Nigeria, you would have enough manpower to confront the security challenges in the FCT.. but this is Nigeria.. where everybody is just after what they can grab from the Oil money and our Country go down the abyss every single day..

The police do not prevent crime. This is one of the best kept secrets of modern life. Experts know it, the police know it, but the public does not know it.

The police were created not to protect the majority from dangerous ‘criminal’ element, but – as “a mechanism set up to protect the affluent elite from the "masses".

He has no idea. He thinks they are normal kidnappers.
Those bandits live and die in the forest.
I expect that the government should have ordered for hundreds of drones by now
for forest surveillance.
We also need forest based armed forces.

If actually you are a former NY police officer of Nigeria decent then u have lost touch with reality of how bad Nigeria is now.

These bandits running all over Nigeria are mostly from a particular tribe that attack people and everybody is tired of the marauders from the sahel.

What Nigeria police need is millitary capable drones to be able to track these terrorists as they collect their ransom and arrest them.without drones any police operation is completely useless as the bandits had spies on the roads and theh know when a police van is not available in the vicinity

Well I appreciate your efforts you have tried given a good suggestion!!!I am just fustrated because of this country.

That's the problem with you guys, every crime is being committed by Fulani herdsmen. Do you even know where kidnapping for ransom originated?

Imagine by now the idiot IGP is talking of special squad instead of requesting for emergency drones to track those bastard kidnappers.

Nigeria is just a completely useless big cave undecided
