Nigeria got independence before Dubai. Nigeria also discovered crude oil before Dubai but today Dubai is a tourist haven and Nigeria is still a shithole leaving it people with no choice to run to Dubai to be treated like slaves. There are numerous unfavorable remarks about the UAE (and Arabs), and I find myself questioning the reasons behind them. Having resided in the UAE since 2019, I struggle to identify any other nation that provides the opportunities and benefits that this place offers.

He survived for months without work...Arabs were giving him money and food. An Arab person employed him as tailor, paid his over stay fine, processed papers for his long term/permanent stay while ensuring he has a job to live on.
