Have Nigerian Treated Nigerians any better ?

MrSundry:
A Nigerian man shares his touching Japa story. He shared how his travel agent refused picking his call and was left to sleep on the road for months begging for food to survive.

Luck eventually smiled on him when he got a tailoring job but this was short lived because he was "roped" in a crime he didn't commit because he is a Nigerian. After spending months in prison, he was found not guilt.

His boss later processed his visa and paid all his outstanding "overstayed" fines. Now he is a legal resident helping those that wants to travel to UAE.

Me too. He could just be another false agent with the story to attract unsuspecting victims.

When you present yourself as a nobody, they treat you as a nobody. That is the case of most Nigerians outside because even at home they don't treat themselves as somebody.

Nigeria got independence before Dubai. Nigeria also discovered crude oil before Dubai but today Dubai is a tourist haven and Nigeria is still a shithole leaving it people with no choice to run to Dubai to be treated like slaves. Dubai depends solely on oil and then invest the proceeds into investments and building world class infrastructures, Nigeria has same oil and other mineral resources but the leaders prefer to embezzle everything to themselves while paying a meagre #30k as minimum wage to it impoverished citizen.

[quote author=Timoleon post=128001052]How them take heartless?

He survived for months without work...Arabs were giving him money and food. An Arab person employed him as tailor, paid his over stay fine, processed papers for his long term/permanent stay while ensuring he has a job to live on.

I wish him all the best. I see many of our countrymen striving to make an honest living here, while others unfortunately contribute to the challenges.

There are numerous unfavorable remarks about the UAE (and Arabs), and I find myself questioning the reasons behind them. Having resided in the UAE since 2019, I struggle to identify any other nation that provides the opportunities and benefits that this place offers.
Cos u might be an expatriate there....in the oil industry. They are respected

Do Nigerians Treate fellow Nigerians any better ?
Ask am well. Does he treat his fellow Nigerians better? A Nigerian manager has the heart to deduct a certain amount from all the workers of his company for himself. Many Nigerians are actually worse than the foreigners

When you want to counter a widely held belief-don't be lazy.

Put some effort into it and give more than enough examples great and small and statistics to prove your point.

Having said this, I personally believe your statement in bold has nothing to do with reality but is as a result of your lack of travel experience

As at 2019 when you got to UAE; Canada, US, UK, Ireland, Australia, Sweden, Finland and Switzerland were rated amongst the best countries to live as a foreigner.

UAE treats Caucasians far far better than Black Africans so I don't know how you arrived at your conclusion.

No matter how long you stay in Dubai you can never acquire their passport unlike the countries above.
