The creation of these Local Capital Development Authority (LCDA) by Tinubu as Governor of Lagos in 2003 attracted the anger of the Obasanjo led Federal Government, resulting in withholding of Lagos state local government allocations for about 3 years. Gov. Tinubu stood his ground as his intention was to take governance closer to the grassroots. With a population of over 10 million, Tinubu rightly thought that 20 LGAs were grossly insufficient to provide good governance. This action of Tinubu among others makes me feel Tinubu has the ball to make necessary changes that can transform the country. Those who are crying for mere relocation of FAAN headquarters to Lagos should prepare for more heartbreaks. I have studied Tinubu a little and I know he is not easily cowed into submission. 7 Likes |

These will be stolen eventually. This is not what government do but private companies. Government fix roads, drainage, pipe borne water, health services, schools. Encourage companies to invest in transportation but not be involved in buying vehicles that government cannot run profitably or successfully |

I was gonna gonna leave a not so good comment but come to think if it, if they actually do, other local govts will learn to carry out similar projects in their localities! I reserve my congratulatory message until it is delivered. |
