Police to go after Nigerian LGBTQ members openly revealing their sexuality in trending TikTok Video challenge https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b5prO3bOCzs The spokesperson of the Nigeria Police Force, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, has revealed that the police will go after members of the LGBTQ community in Nigeria who in a viral video, openly revealed their sexuality. While participating in a popular online challenge, the LGBTQ members openly spoke about their sexuality and the misconceptions people have about them. The video received mixed reactions with some Nigerians asking if the anti-gay law signed by former President Goodluck Jonathan in January 2007 is no longer effective This morning, an X user drew Adejobi's attention to the video and asked if the police will not act on it. Responding, Adejobi pointed that the LGBTQ members are “criminals” and that the police is on the case to take necessary actions.

The difficulty of anti-gay laws is that you have to define and prove the crime. A statement is not a crime - freedom of expression is a constitutional right. The act of sexual intercourse with a same gender person is the crime. Where in that video do you see a sexual act to prosecute? This is the nonsensical laws that our lawmakers churn out. Same problem with bribery and misappropriation of public funds - the crime is not defined properly, therefore your prosecution rate is abysmal... Focus on other areas Sir! Armed robbery, Kidnapping, Banditry etc😏 |

I wonder why people can not keep their sexual inclination in the closet The westerners you want to copy kept it under wrap until like decades ago.. You are doing strong head, when you live in a society that has laws criminalising it and not yet ready for you to exhibit your tendency |

KingMack:They are on record saying they are gay. The law say admission or open display of LGBT+ is against the law. By their own mouth, they implicated themselves. |

keep fooling yourself,a statement is regarded as a confession, fully admissible in court as evidence infact recorded as the most indiating form of evidence. everybody on that video should have a close case conviction,14 years. KingMack: |
