Here is someone that understands the economic effect of the move. Others are only concentrating on the political effect.

“The problem we have now is that many employees are children of politically exposed persons and their Abuja life and businesses are more important than the CBN work"... What a revelation by Sanusi.

Na politician children full CBN. cool
The bolded is true

I Know many of them

Not just CBN, NNPC, Customs, Avation, even DSS

They were filled there during Buharis tenure

I know many of my classmates I went to school with overseas

They got juicy jobs through there parents connection

Big men's children
They live in maitama, Asokoro etc

Sanusi is very right although his children also benefited
One of his son is in the police force and he is already climbing the ladder
One day will be an IG

Majority of these politicians have already positioned there children for the future

Sanusi is an educated and refined man. This is why we advocate for increase in education budget by northern governors to give their illiterate population quality education that will stem the tide of ignorance in that region. Check out those illiterate northerners kicking against the well thought out relocations, they are half-baked jihadists who went to islamiyya schools where the only things they are taught are jihad, ethnic and religious cleansing of christians and dipping the Koran in the Atlantic ocean. Just look at Plateau state that was enjoying relative peace when Lalong was governor because an Igbo man was STF commander but has descended into chaos since the new chief of army staff replaced him with a Fulani soldier. May God save Nigeria from bigots and religious extremists.
ignorance at it peak, people driven by venal instincts also got something to say wow 😮 just wow

When this informed people speak

Some of us read it at least twice
Because you are better informed
But unfortunately many don't like to read
Neither would they listen
So ignorance persisted.
You can not play away your job
For your political career.

This is very shameful.
If we can't kill corruption and do what is right there will never be progress in any sector in Nigeria.

Relocating it to Lagos is even the worse it will be an economy chaos

[The US is made up of different ethnic groups but the problem is the idea. The north doesn't care about progress. All thy want is power. Look at what Buhari sink us to. If Tinubu succeed is miracle. But then he is to be blame to, his greed for power makes him help Buhari by any means even when the sign is clear that Buhari is not good. quote author=cocolacec post=128117526]

.

festacman:
There is a deep-rooted mutual suspicion among religious groups and ethnicities, which was planted by pre-independence political founding fathers and continued to be expertly utilized by today's political leaders to push their selfish agenda.

This has impacted negatively on our choice of leaders, formulation and implementation of vital policies, siting of key projects, fight against corruption, etc.

The sad thing is that even educated, well-travelled and enlightened people become suddenly dumb and ready to fight whenever the politicians press our MUMU religious and ethnic buttons.

“The problem we have now is that many employees are children of politically exposed persons and their Abuja life and businesses are more important than the CBN work"

Sanusi hit the nail on the head.
Big mens kids were heavily recruited into that place, just to show they have jobs, not as if they need the pay.
It has caused lots of inefficiency in that office.

Straight to the point ....
“The question of locating functions is a STRATEGIC and not tactical one. A proper analysis should be done to identify which roles are best suited to Lagos and which to Abuja. Once the logic is clear the people then follow. Non communication of strategic intent opens the door to mischievous misrepresentation and arbitrariness. kiss

Do you know more than a former CBN governor? Even Moghalu, a former deputy CBN governor is in support of the movement.

When people shout 'North this' or 'South that' its mostly always for their own selfish interest. For the man on the street who cares which CBN office is where. What we care about is the Banks are properly regulated so we don't wake up one day and our life savings have vanished, as used to happen in the past.
Who cares where FAA is regulated, as long as planes are not dropping from the sky like used to happen before.
it's only the selfish bigots thinking of their own interests that raise all these base sentiments. It's time for Nigerians to ignore them

Dancing to the gallery - Sanusi style.

Sanusi who openly stated that the government of then president Goodluck Jonathan should not be trusted when Sanusi was sitting as CBN Governor but campaigning for power shift to the north.
How could Sanusi have had the opportunity to relocate some departments of the CBN to Lagos then?

Anyway, Sanusi understands that the federal parastatals of the United Kingdom, the Colonial masters of Nigeria, are spread out all over the cities and towns of the United Kingdom.
