Interview Follow-up Email by Gentlesoul2021(m): 3:33pm On Jan 29
Dear NL

I recently interviewed for a supervisory position on the 15th January, 2024 and I am contemplating on sending a follow up email in this regard.

While going through LinkedIn to read more about the company, I came across the profile of the HR who interviewed me.

My question now is, do I send a direct message to this HR on LinkedIn? Is this ideal or professional?.

OR

I should only quote the Email through which the interview invite was sent to me.

Thank you for your input!!

Email is better and formal, LinkedIn would come off as desperate and a stalking.

Don't send any follow email, because if you do it shows your are desperate.

On a second thought
You should have asked during the interview how long it will take the interviewer(s) to make a final decision (I'm surprised you didn't ask this)

If it's been 4-5 weeks after your interview and you have heard absolutely nothing, it may be time to assume that the role has been filled which is what most firms does(silent approach) Afterwards, you move on.
I hope you don't
Good luck

I did asked him if there will be feedback after the interview and he affirmed to it. I also pressed further to ask for the time frame in which this feedback will be sent, then he said he cannot answer to it but I'll definitely get a feedback. It's been 2-weeks of interview and I'm wondering what might be going on....

Thanks for Ur input...

NO!! they probably want to show the current staff that they are not good enough and could be shown the door if they are not meeting up.

Move on. If they later contact you, then fine. For them to readvertised the post means they haven't gotten what dey want.. Now mostly, employers are looking for cheap labor. So if you bill them too much dey will look the other way round.

well, most companies works on Saturday, either full or half day depending on your field,eg , like the super markets they operate on Saturday because it their peak period and most of their stocks are perishable items. Event centers / hospitality, all operate on Saturday too.

But, I'm into logistics operations, we do operate half day on Saturday.

Different companies has their SOP in which they operate.
