Ability to conduct and communicate with his defenders is part of it. A keeper is as good as his defenders. If you communicate and manage your defenders well, you'll have less ball coming to the goal post. He charges his defenders to be efficient in their job and confident in the goal post.

Firtly, the league should put his house in order so that players can be valuable. That's the edge the SA league have over Nigeria league. Their clubs don't appear desperate to sell their players cheap

This guy played for years in our local leagues and got no exposure only for the PSL to cash out above €2m for him now. The NFF should grow Nigerian football by allowing good league players feature in international competitions. I am sure there are better midfielders than Iwobi in the league and better goal keepers than uzoho too

In a nutshell Nwabali is NPFL product but the PSL is reaping the money.

That €2 million will be a curse instead of a blessing if they invest it in our NPFL because that money will not improve anything, even if they double that amount.

Our officials will steal and divide 95% of the money among themselves.

I was just saying to myself this morning that this guy will not finish this year in South Africa. He is exactly the type of player Erik ten Hag thinks Onana is.

I don't know how good he is at making big saves but he is really good at passing and commanding his box which is what Onana was brought to do.

In part, I share your thoughts but he must be credited for his confidence, distribution and attack building from the defence.
He also hasn't spilled the shots he has come against so far though. And he collects crosses and set pieces well enough.
However, maybe he hasn't had a top notch save for us to conclude him a top class shotstopper sha, he deserves kudos at this point.

Bro that’s the least from a GK
it only contributes just 5 or 10% to what is needed of a professional goalkeeper. Mind you, the full backs are bosses on their own. I’m sure that it is not nwabali that tells them what to do, when and how.

Yes he hasn't made much saves largely due to the solidity of our defense, however, he has shown compotual,calmness and his ball distribution is top notch, these are qualities of a good goalie....

The hype is justified because at this point in time what we need is a goalkeeper who can be trusted to do the basics very well. We have a good defense to prevent most of the trouble but that defence needs to be confident that their keeper can take care of the 10% that they will fail to stop. Uzoho has never been that guy. Instead, Uzoho will give you one great save and then concede a weak shot.

Nwabali is also very good at distribution. So, for the fact that he does exactly what the Super Eagles needs at this time, which we havne't had in a long time, we should be happy as we rightly are.
