January Salaries Of Federal Civil Servants To Be ‘delayed Beyond Normal’ – Memo by dre11(op): 8:56am On Feb 01, 2024
The management of National Mathematical Center, Abuja on Wednesday announced that the payment of salaries to Federal Government civil servants will be delayed beyond normal.

The center in a viral memo signed by its acting bursar, Pius Ukwah, attributed the delay to the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation, AGF.

According to the memo, the AGF office was still working on finalizing the 2024 Appropriation on the GIFMIS platform and as a result the Personnel Warrant for the month of January 2024 is yet to be released.

The memo further revealed that the delay would cut across other MDA’s and not just the centre.

While urging the staff to exercise patience, the Centre said: “We await a positive resolution by the OAGF.”

Ok.

Tinubulation is also a form of government where your little paycheck will be " delayed beyond normal" as a surprise for a bigger & better paycheck.

Let's continue to stand for the man with the hood grin grin

You wake up in Nigeria to one ugly, sad, frustrating and terrible news everytime....

In the midst of this harsh economy, you're still delaying salaries of FG civil servants, but you guys won't delay in sending “Prayers” to your mailbox and splashing out billions for SUV's.

There would always be one E-diot defending this abnormalities.

If this is true, FG just like to disgrace itself.
People are fed up. All these are making the anger of people very thick!

As at this morning, personnel warrants have not been initiated on GIFMIS. If you’re on IPPIS, I am sorry you’re not getting your salary anytime soon. And yes, this is totally unacceptable. The Accountant General, DG Budget Office and the Minister of Finance should be collectively sanctioned.

But they are buying SUVs and renovating the residences of Emilokan Balablu and his cronies with billions.

And the agbado urchins are on Nairaland making noise on empty stomach.

I have never seen a government so proactive and strategically sound. I must commend them for doing this because enough is enough.

I also can not stand pastors fleecing salary earners of their January salaries in the guise of first fruit, if I was President, I'd delay their January salary as well.

How can you rationalize sowing all your salary as seed? How can you be patriotic to God when you are not patriotic to your country?

Our country is broke and since we all agree that Federal civil servants do not even need their January salaries for anything, that money should be allocated to our leaders so they can travel the world and bring back development for us.

That is patriotism.

Do you see that this govt is failing and not learning from PDP?
By the time people's anger ripe on them, they ll suffer the curse of all govts since 1999.

When they were appointed by the incompetent buffoon called Tinubu, you guys were hailing them, making them look like the best thing after Hot Jollof rice.

You're sorry? As per government official on Nairaland?
