Hello everyone, I want to buy my first car and I'm thinking of buying the Lexus is250 2008 2009 pls do you all think is a nice car to start with. I honestly like the car but don't know much about it

For u to be thinking about Is250 ..u obviously have more than a few change to spare......so go ahead and buy...

.my own advice to anyone that wants to buy a car is.......can u afford the engine and gear when they decide to show u pepper.?

. All other parts na small change..like 40k, 70k, 25k, 150k...

Get the es350 07-12 instead, that is250 is in a class of its own. It’s like maintaining a Benz , the parts are on the high side. Example compare the price of its steering rack to that of other Lexus models that share parts with regular Toyota , same with its condenser, compressor and other parts

IS250 engine isn't that expensive should be 400 to 500k, 4GR is the cheapest engine for recent toyota cars, nah IS350 engine dey expensive.

Yes 2022 4GR was 100k , 2gr was 350k while 1GR is around 600k. The 2.5L V6 4GR isn't expensive though then I heard its because it wasn't a sort after engine

Yes the engines and gear of toyota nah still die bros, I never absolve the brand of high handedness just that the IS250 engine was dirt cheap for its age then, I am not certain of the transmission price sha back then

It's an expensive car to drive around in. Maintenance could turn you into an auto mechanic as you want to do it yourself when the costs take their toll on you and that is where you come by a competent mechanic!

250 engine now sells for nothing less than 850k

Anything engine is costly now. And the sells has drop drastically as more people now opted for engine rebuild. Before if you consider the cost of new toks engine and cost of rebuilding it just insignificant. So people would prefer to buy.

But today people now prefer rebuilding
