A police chief in Opelousas, Louisiana and his wife are currently hospitalized after receiving gunshot wounds - after the chief's alleged side chick went berserk

Media Take Out learns that the St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office said Police Chief Graig LeBlanc was shot in the hand, and his wife police officer Crystal LeBlanc was shot in the arm. Sheriff Bobby Guidroz said the shooting was the result of a domestic issue and happened at a home just outside the city limits of Opelousas.

The homeowner, Savannah Butler - an Opelousas Police officer, was detained. The police chief and his wife were transported out of Opelousas to local hospitals.

Greg is a captain at the St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office. The St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office is currently investigating the shooting.

According to reports, Crystal LeBlanc went to the home to speak to her husband who was inside and knocked on the door. Graig LeBlanc then walked outside and the two began arguing Savannah who is reportedly Greg's side piece then entered the doorway armed with a gun.

When Greg put his hand out in front of the weapon to retrieve the gun, he was shot in the hand. The bullet then traveled through his hand and hit his wife Crystal in the arm.

Savannah turned herself in to the St. Landry Parish jail Jan. 1, posted a $22,000 bond and was released, authorities said

"I must acknowledge the role I played in this unfortunate situation." Greg wrote. "I have failed in my commitment to uphold the standards expected of the Chief of Police and, more importantly, failed the trust you have placed in me. Infidelity is a breach of not only the personal commitments I made but also the professional standards we all expect from those in public service."I want to express my sincere apologies to my wife, my family, all parties involved, and to each and every member of our community"

To summarise: wifey tracked her husband down to sidechick's house and started banging on the door asking him to come out.
He came out and while he was arguing with her, sidechick also came out with a gun and attempted to shoot wifey, only for the bullet to pass through the husband before it hit the wife.
They're both very lucky to still be alive.
