It is really saddening to hear about the passing onto glory of a truly detribalized Nigerian, a gem who promoted the culture and essence of who we are as a people through his folklore and songs. Uncle Jimi, as he is fondly called would be greatly missed and his works would continue to speak of the good man that he was.

My sincere condolences to his children, family, friends and loved ones. May his rest soul in perfect peace.
